finally found a really good HALAL fried chicken place... Red Rooster in Richmond.. Cambie and number 5, right beside Lotus.

They broast the chicken.. so good. Wings are amazing from there as well. It's really hard to find a really good halal fried chicken in LML.

The owner (i think) was saying it was getting to expensive because min. wages were going up and they didnt (or couldnt) raise the prices of the food. So they opted to close, had a notice on their doors explaining why and that they were sorry they had to close.

it's back at the nanaimo/hastings churchs! there's a sign on the cashier area saying "BROWN GRAVY IS BACK!" however i haven't had luck in other places...anyone else know/been to other churchs with the brown gravy back?

Tried LA chicken over the weekend with a bunch of friends because of this thread and I must say, it really isn't anything special. We would have all preferred KFC spicy chicken recipe or churches

Had Red Rooster the other day ago. Not bad for broasting the chicken and making the meat more tender. But I find that its lacking taste. They need a spicy chicken version..

Too many high school kids going there and order way too much and cheapin out on tips and even sometimes not having enough money to pay the bill...saw it coming

Speaking of KFC.. Did they discontinue the Extra Crispy Version? Ive been to Brentwood and Metrotown and they both didn't have it.. or maybe its a mall thing?

Went LA chicken couple weeks ago. That was my second time to visit there. I chat with the owner. She was pretty happy that I am from RS. I ordered 3 piece chicken meal without salad but gravy. She gave me a extra piece in the end. Honestly, LA chicken is juicy and crispy. Good place.

^ill say decent but pricey.
