Log in to my.bcit.ca and go to check grades. In the note section, it informs me that all technology program grades will be posted on the 23rd at noon.

Like anticipating a fail on my financial accounting exam, need like 43% to pass the course. So stressful, first time failing a course / getting below 70%

Gerbs 12-19-2016 07:12 AM

Campus closed but we have an external csc exam today. Apparently no one has an answer whether exam is still on or not. Csc said call your prof. Our prof sent us a good luck exam and peaced it to south africa. Should I drive to school

nope, something houseman?

i remember during our last term finals in the second year, most of the people in the library til 2am were from finman. too much to do, so little time. near the end, i didn't care anymore, i just wanted to pass. didn't even have time to study for finance, pretty sure i failed that exam :lawl:

so many of my classmates dropped out as the program went on. and fuck working in teams, so many slackers. a bunch of the smartest peeps in my program to this day, have their designations now.

keep at it if you plan on doing it for the next long while.

Ah Matthew hauseman ... had him for fmgt 1100 and 2100 .. LOL he's an interesting guy. I wouldn't think he's a bad teacher but his exams are rough.

Yeah man... BCIT is a grind. Giving up seems so easy.

LP700-4 12-20-2016 07:57 PM

30% of our set dropped this semester. Will more ppl be added to our set or will they balance it out with our other set?

mr_chin 12-20-2016 08:25 PM

The one course that is going to fuck me is organizational behavior. Can't stand fucking reading.

BCIT is about hands on learning god damnit!

Tfw you ask him for help and he's like what do you think? Then points at the page numbers on the board. :yuno::yuno:

I think if you guys have 2 sets it might merge to one.

Orgb is a grind. Depending on who's teaching it and what program. I personally despised Orgb but i liked learning leadership (also an Orgb course). So it really depends on who's teaching it.

Plus you'll find yourself applying the concepts more often than you think. LOL if you scroll up, someone asked about teams and managing ineffective people.

That's pretty normal. If your program allows Advanced Placement students, what they did with mine, was have a bunch of ap students come in. Less people in each set but, still two sets.

This is if your program has already separated the major / streams into the respective sets since first year.

maneetkaran 12-22-2016 10:05 AM

2 to 3 year waiting list? What... I was looking to transfer to AST if mech eng aint my thing.

BIC_BAWS 12-22-2016 04:26 PM

idk how but final grades are up

Gerbs 12-22-2016 06:44 PM

Passed financial accounting, apparently half my set failed from the looks of the group chat. I wonder how small the sets are going to be next semster.

Recon604 12-22-2016 10:10 PM

parking meters are officially changed to license plates. No more stall numbers.

Recon604 12-22-2016 10:11 PM

Gerbs 12-22-2016 10:48 PM

yes I did, gave them good business so they better not care about that 1 fine... I had to go to campus that day and parked at the staff parking LOL

maneetkaran 12-23-2016 12:56 PM

My set now contains like 7 people. Hopefully is dissolves so I dont have to be with some randoms for capstone. (Friends in my set failed a course, wont allow them to do capstone.)

Gerbs 12-23-2016 04:11 PM

Is it common for profs to give out 3 - 6% bonuses when the class average is 55% and below.

Recon604 12-23-2016 04:50 PM

in my program, instructors aren't allowed to scale.

BIC_BAWS 12-27-2016 01:20 PM

I recall someone saying that the parking meters has comepletly swapped over to license plate, does anyone know if the rates have changed?

mr_chin 12-27-2016 01:26 PM

So, our Org B teacher hasn't updated the marks for our course on my.bcit. Emailed her last week and she hasn't responded yet.

How much time should I give her before emailing the program head?
