When's the meet

maneetkaran 11-08-2016 05:22 PM

Not sure but

If the meet is going to be a collaboration with the Baja team.I'm pretty sure we want to display the new vehicle.
So, it might not happen this semester.
The old Baja vehicle is being completely redesigned atm.

I've contacted Saf Dewji, BCITSA VP External, who spoke to me about the interest of the Baja team in collaboration of the meet. Details are still in works right now, but it's likely to be next semester.

If there's interest, the Business Management Association is considering combining the meet with a Toyota Operations Tour, in partnership with APICS.

What kind of meet do you guys want? I'm interested in getting the entire BCIT community and local community together, but since I'm trying to run this under a club community engagement event, a certain aspect of it has to be beneficial.

I've got one more semester after this one too. Debating on doing BBA.

Also if anyone is a prospective student looking at the BBA program, the Business Management Association is doing an event with the BBA program head.

Event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1163751096994219/

Event will cover critical thinking topics. The BBA program is heavily based on critical thinking. This will be your chance to understand what is expected in that program, AND you get to make an impression on the program head.

Edit: I have tickets on hand

So... how do you guys deal with people who just plain suck at doing some task? Like how do you tell them that you're better?

Oh, to note, you're grouped with them on a project.

This one's really hard to deal with. In the team charter, I would set out clear expectations, and if anything comes up, you give them a warning (verbal, then written). And if it's really unbearable, and your program head allows it, you fire them. Or you just go to talk to your program head or instructor and ask how to deal with it.
