Just got an email regarding winning an award from BCIT for outstanding grades in Finance department. But I googled further and I had to apply for this award? Anyone got an email like this? Feels like this was sent to the wrong person lol. The extra money is nice though to pay off tuition.

Did you pay the ~$200 deposit? If I recall correctly, once you accept their offer and pay the ~$200 deposit you are in.
BCIT is first come first serve, my cousin applied late and he did not get in. (Academic marks were not an issue)

Playing poker for a living live as a cash game player in a local casino is dreadful. I would rather die than playing 1/2 8+ hours a day. It is lonely, gruesome and not rewarding. Poker itself is treated as a hobby to me (even though I havent touched poker in half a year)


Hoping to start a company before I reach 30 on contracting or something to do with plumbing. This would be more full filling than gambling and sitting with weirdos at the casino.

I did it for like 4 months full time, two years ago. Its fucking dreadful, but it was good money for a 19 year old. I recently played on a vacation at Edmonton, got runner-up in a small 220 event. I felt like poker motivated me to do more than just play against weirdos and grinders.

played a $777 edgewater tourney a year or two ago @ edgewater , got an albertan fish to tilt call me 30bbs with AQs, it went utg+1 raise, MP 3bet, i have AKhh OTB 4bet all in 30bbs, he tank calls , he sucks out on me with a flush and had 35bb to start the hand FailFish

he ended up winning the god damn tourney for $45,000 , FailFish :rukidding:
