so broadband 50 bundled with tv is 84.90 and shaw extreme bundled with tv is also 84.90 one of them i get 50mb down 3mb up along with 400gb limit while the other is 25mb down 2.5mb up with only 250gb limit.. so why don't they just switch everyone over to the broadband 50 if they have TV bundled already?? am i misreading something? |

if you're on the old tv plans ur actually paying about $10 less a month but if you're on SPP then yeah ppl should just migrate up as for the Bump Up Program (getting bumped up to the next tier package) on shaws website it says it wont take effect until February 2012 and you get a 1month grace if you go over |

No wifi, but that's what I asked for. I've always had around 45 down and about 2.8 up with Warp. Just switched over to Broadband 50 yesterday and still have the same speeds. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1336976917.png |

I am not hitting ANYWHERE close to those speeds. I am gonna give them a call now. |
Got the Broadband 100 today, with the SMC modem/router (which I hate already). http://www.speedtest.net/result/1337182043.png I upgraded from Extreme, didn't cost me a penny more (friends are good) |

A friend of mine put some discount on my acct. Broadband 100 was supposed to be around $10 more but she put a discount on it. I'm trying to find a way to disable the SMC router/modem's router function. I know the Rogers customers have figured out a way. |

looks like they are force feeding the cheap smc down ppl's throat regardless of if u want wireless or not... i bitched and complained and they keep saying they stopped giving out the sb6120 -.- that aside.. if i go over the 400gb limit on the broadband 50 i get bump up to broadband 100 lol does that also change the speed? XD |

Yeah, your speed and cap will be bumped up if you go over, so will the price. lol |
just an FYI if you go over and get bumped to the next cap you pay the flat fee of the next tier and it is not pro-rated |
on shaws website they say they wont start bumping people up when you go over ur Cap until Feb 2012 |
For me I only subscribe to extreme internet. So 84.90 is a lot than my current $20 |
yeah im using just extreme here as well. Is the boardband 50 faster? And how much is it after the 3 months periods? |
wow I wish i had some friends of friends who are connected working at shaw on a serious note though, too bad the increase in speed isn't too noticeable if you're streaming youtube or other sites since you are limited by the speed on their end. youkv and tudou still slow as fuck |

RS Discount? :D |
Yes parent deciding whether to go with shaw or telus. They are leaning towards telus but i want shaw. So hope some of my RS buddies could gimme an edge. btw we are currently with shaw for the last few years (5+ i dunt remember exactly) |

I'm perfectly aware of that. |
For myself I've nothing but good experiences with Shaw under their Extreme package. Downtime negligible. Maybe in total an hour or 2 over 5 years? Customer service has always been a good experience for me. |
