To gain weight, you have to TAKE IN AN EXCESS OF CALORIES (500 above caloric maintenance).

Most beginners/ectomorphs make the mistake of thinking mass gainers is the key to weight gain, when their diet isn't even in check.

I personally think mass gainers are a waste of money (speaking from experience).

You can easily make a homemade gainer (oats, banana, peanut butter, milk, chocolate protein powder) and it won't cost you half as much as a serving of MM or Quickmass for example.

So I was at popeye's the other day, looking to buy some whey. I told him I previously used whey by leanfit (from costco) and he says "you should buy some better quality protein, there's a reason why it's so cheap" Is this true?

So far, I've gone from leanfit (5 lbs.) -> Allwhey (4 lbs.) -> Myofusion (current)

pretty much what Im asking is, does brand/quality matter? after all, protein is protein.

What do you currently weigh?

some has more bcaa and glutamines some are aspartame free some has higher gram of protein per serving some are just name brands
also depends if it is whey prrotein or whey isolate or casein protein
some mixes better some mixes worse lol
some taste better some taste worse i guess when they say better protein meaning that

i read some article also OPTIMUM and DYMATIZE whey protein was 98% pure protein.. other brands not sure lol

I don't use them nearly as much as I used to. I found the increased anxiety to be an issue. One thing is for sure, I will never forget the day I took an 'attack dose' of piracetam :eek:

explain. i took an attack dose of piracetam and choline citrate for a week. i was beamed most of the day and mellow as hell. it did the opposite and kept me calm and stress-free throughout the day lol. driving was kind of an issue though since it feels kind of like a mild high from mdma. it also prevented me from napping in the day.

Since I know supplemt protein doesn't affect too much for gains but I'm looking to pick up a new tub since my weight gainer is running out
