Dunno if this is a repost, this thread grew by about 20 pages while I was out this afternoon... (Status by one of my FB friends: "Pretty amazing story about the rioting last night from a buddy of mine who was among two friends right on Granville Street as security for the shop "Millennium", during the rioting. If you saw these guys guarding the shop, this is the story from their perspective. ;) This includes being tear gassed 4 times, helping protect scared/injured bystanders, etc.") http://www.facebook.com/notes/aaron-...50198367465474 |

anyone know what type of charge the Jason Li kid is going to get...im not defending him by any means but just by watching the video infront of bmo bank it seems he only took 2 swipes of a already broken window (i think he failed to barely break anything too)...just wondering cause you guys are saying his whole life is ruined just for those 2 small swings with a stick....honestly, alot more worst things happened throughout the night, he seems to be getting alot of attention cause such a high def shot of him doing a spartan pose lol |
friend said he and his gf encountered 2 white males telling them they are gonna rape her, they run to the cops to tell them and the cops give those 2 white males a good beating:fuckyea: |
What a disgrace... Those who stood by to look and chant are just as guilty as those who started the riot. If there was ONE good samaritan (like the adidas guy) for every trouble maker, the riot wouldn't have happened... |

Edit: Yeah, even some Boston fans helping clean up! http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...232_n.jpg?dl=1 "Kris Griffin I can't hope to speak for every Bruins fan out there, but I personally congratulate the Canucks and their fans on a good, spirited series. Best final series I've seen in years." "Kris Griffin Don't forget to give props to the rest of the people that were out there helping out. The true meaning of community is the collective group, not the lone individual. :)" |

http://www.forumvancouver.com/thread...ge-3#post-6188 http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6049497_n.jpgIf that's true, I'm extremely embarrassed. I know these guys and went to school with them. I can positively identify Kevin & Vincent, not sure of O'Neal. I won't pass judgement until there's more pictures/videos of them being involved though... Suppose it was a matter of time before I would see someone I recognize in the aftermath. I was really hoping I wouldn't though. |
question how does DT look now, does it still need help clean up |
^^whoa thats some good detective work! |

Please report their names and that picture anyways. If anything the cops have many other pictures and videos and will be able to identify them in the other ones. Thank you. |
RT @VanCanucks: 06/16/2011 – A day that will go down in history for all the right reasons. Thank you #Canucks fans. http://t.co/x0JeU5g "The Bay, located at the corner of Seymour Street and West Georgia Street, typically a window shopper’s paradise, had most of its windows smashed in when looting became all the rage and Thursday it was boarded up like an abandoned warehouse. These boards explained how while the evening of June 15 saw the worst of us, the morning of June 16 saw the best of us." http://3.cdn.nhle.com/canucks/images...up3_biggy2.jpg Much more to the article than that, BTW... a good read, highly recommended. |
I've had a long day and a bit to drink so I apologize for the rambling. I just went back from page 1 and can't help but comment... I remember listening to hockey long before I could see it. My grandpa and I would listen to hockey games in the 80's and it was my strongest bond with him. Listening to Jim Robson and Gary Monahan was an exciting time for us. My grandpa passed away 4 years back and hockey hasn't felt the same since. That being said, I went downtown yesterday with a heavy heart thinking of how I wished my gramps could be here to witness history. And now, in some morbid way I'm glad he wasn't here to see what happened. It was hard enough for him to explain 1994 to me. The disappointment of losing combined with the strong reaction would have been too much for him. Anyways, I thought I would share some more photos of what I am having to deal with at this point. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681749AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681728AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681810AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681815AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681804AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681744AM.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...n1681722AM.jpg I don't understand how some people can be so hateful. Fortunately, I called the River Rock Casino Security and they might have an angle on where my car was parked and be able to provide footage of the parties involved. I told the guy what happened and he was equally as upset as I am. I'm glad there are people like him, K-Dub, Ronin, MajinHurricane and the various people I've witnessed on Youtube and other sources who have the courage to to fight for what is right. Seriously, if I come across any of you, I'd buy you a beer. Hopefully I can get some video footage of the fucking assholes who fucked up my car. Kev |

^^ Just wondering, was it only your car that was vandalized in that parkade? |
