I'm shocked no one was shot last night.

It happens in Vancouver because of all the tree-hugging peace assholes.

The police have been convicted of so many negatives being brought of by complaints that they didn't want to resort to violence until it was WAY too late.

Other countries would have had riot police in the crowd DURING the game.Not after the riot had started. This was a clear sign that VPD/RCMP was not prepared, and next time hopefully we will be. Non-lethal force is supposed to be used, FORCIVELY. Not to just walk forward with shields and batons.

well honestly, so far, the COPS have been the best bunch.. keeping calm and not provoking anybody. they have somewhat redeemed thr image in my mind.

You know, I remember when Brazil lost in the finals to France in '98, there was nothing on the streets. Just disbelief, mostly. And this was in fucking Rio. How can this shit happen here? Is it because the police there don't hesitate to shoot rioters? Maybe. I am just appalled at what happened. Didn't know there were that many idiots here. Ah well.

This riot is pretty tame compared to the LA riots I experienced back in 92'. Crazy black people and Mexicans actually killing each other is a lot scarier than a bunch of stupid drunken hipsters setting things on fire. Nonetheless, I didn't expect to see this in my own backyard here in Canada.

this year was far worse than 1994. Makes me sick... Im glad I stayed home and didnt bother going downtown.
