Nope no root needed for Nova. They just launched 2.0 which is supposedly even lower memory usage, faster and more features. I do notice a slight improvement in speed and smoothness after updating. |
other than beautiful widgets, are there any free widgets for customization? |

On the frugal side, they do put the keyboard on sale very often. |
it should be a free upgrade.... |
is swiftkey better than swype? Swype is the thing that got me onto android from iphone. It's a necessity for me now |
Swiftkey Flow (currently in beta) adds swype, although its behaviour is a little different than the stock Android keyboard. Overall I think it's a better keyboard - better predictions, self-learning (the stock one you have to go through two or three steps to add new words on the fly), and can also read from your Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and SMS accounts for its dictionary (so it knows the words you use most). |
From Swype to Swiftkey Flow to the Jelly Bean Android keyboard, I find I prefer Swype's UI and input methods the most. I like Swiftkey Flow Beta, but Swype Beta just seems smoother and more intelligent for me, after trying both for weeks/months each. If Swiftkey Flow improves more, I may change my mind, but I've always preferred Swype to traditional "input" methods. |
