Evernote - notepad on steroids but still fast and easy.

My LG G2 also has a very nice built-in notepad function that even lets you draw right on the screen and save that as a note.

I'm not getting push notifications for emails in folders for my Hotmail account using the stock android email app.

Is there any app that allows for push notifications for emails that have been filtered into folders for Hotmail?

Soundy 01-09-2014 03:26 PM

Who uses Hotmail anymore??

Why not use ActiveSync with the standard mail app that came with the phone?
Add it in the following way:
go to Settings --> Accounts and Sync --> Add Account --> Corporate... Enter Information

Domain\username: <full e-mail address-- ie: abcde@hotmail.com>
Password: <your password... derp>
Incoming Server: m.hotmail.com **Note, if you have a @live.com account... use m.hotmail.com also!

And there you have it! you now have Push notifications setup and a full sync with Hotmail! (if you read something on your phone... it will be marked read on hotmail, if you delete something, it will be gone on hotmail)

If anything, PM me or post a reply!

This is what I use, thanks to Amuro Ray!

So what happened is, I'm getting push notifications for my inbox, but when I go set up push notifications for my folders, there's notifications when mail goes to the folder.

This is with the stock email app that came on my Galaxy Nexus.

I will give the above a try.

Aviate looks pretty cool. Might give it shot when it's fully released.

Cover is another one that I really like. Different profiles that change automatically depending on location and similar idea to aviate.

Installed, thanks! Looks interesting so far, should be interesting as I've been using another auto-category-type launcher, Everything Home

I was reading online and that previous article saying they were giving away 25000 free beta spots. Anyways, I just downloaded the app from the playstore and within the app you can request an invite or else enter a code. If you enter the current 'YAHOO' code, it seems to still work. Got beta that way for those waiting on an invitation still. My guess is it will stop working soon once the 25000 is used up.

Xu.Vi 01-09-2014 07:41 PM

It's going to be quite "boring" at first but it grew onto me just because of how convenient everything was placed.

TOS'd 01-09-2014 07:46 PM

Havent really played around with it, but i do like the Collections page and how the apps are laid out with the alphabet on the righthand side.

No one really replied to my question.

Is there an app or option to show texts/whatsapps etc on the lock screen so that I don't have to put in my passcode to reply etc?

if you have a passcode (patter/pin), i don't think its possible to reply as that would bypass your security?

If you're looking for one to just show messages there's dashclock
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ashclock&hl=en

You can have it show more than just messages though. I have it set up to show missed calls, calendar events, emails, etc.
