Hey guys

When I click on the 3 little buttons on the Gmail app and click preview, to preview an attachment, it finishes fetching the attachment but the screen remains blank. It doesn't work for pdf nor word documents. I can still download them though, but it is such a hassle. Is there something I should download or redownload since I debloated my LG G3. I really need to preview function in gmail because I go through many email attachments

Thanks.

can't download flash player for 4.4 kit kat?

Sushi604 12-08-2014 09:57 AM

Adobe Flash stopped support for Android for since 2011. You can side load it as there is still aftermarket support being developed at this time.

Was there a YouTube update today? I can no longer search with the voice search microphone (option is gone) and was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

You can put things into the regular Google calendar in your phone anyway, they just won't sync while Google is blocked.

The latest version of WhatsApp has desktop integration:

https://web.whatsapp.com/

This is insanely useful for me to follow chat threads and discussions while at work instead of having to go on my phone every few minutes.

^ great news, I wish they would make a web browser app/website app for it so I dont need to install a program onto my work computer.. lol

sonick 01-21-2015 11:48 AM

^ it is web based, Chrome only though.

This is not working for me at all. I don't remember when was the last time when I updated my Whatsapp (I'm on Android v4.3.), but as far as Google PlayStore is concerned, there is no newer version available, so I guess I should be using the latest version already?

The Web Whatsapp calls for the latest version of the app installed on your mobile phone. But the required menu doesn't seem to exist in my "most current" version.

Hmm... :heckno:

It didn't work for me either with the latest version until I cleared my cache and data in App Manager. Be sure to back up your messages first.

I didn't see "Whatsapp web" in my application either. I re-installed Whatsapp, and it works now (scan the QR code from whatsapp scanner).

It has an auto backup that does it at 4am each morning which it automatically restored when I opened it again after clearing the data. However, my phone is usually off at 4am though, so I lost a few days of messages from the last auto backup.

uninstalled and re-installed
works like a charm. now they need an app that pops out like hangouts so i dont have to keep the tab open

TOS'd 01-21-2015 03:11 PM

if you uninstall and reinstall, do your conversations and media come back? or do you have to choose to restore(and will that bring back the media as well into all your conversations)?

imanoob

SoNaRWaVe 01-21-2015 03:13 PM

i didn't have to uninstall and reinstall. i just closed the whatsapp program and reopened it and the option showed up for me.

I needed an uninstall and re-install before WhatsApp Web worked for me as well.

Before you uninstall, just go to WhatsApp > [Menu Button] > [Settings] > [Chat settings] > [Backup Conversations] and back up all your conversations. When you re-install, WhatsApp will see the backed up conversations, and ask if you want to restore from there. When you do, you'll get everything back exactly the same as it was before.

TOS'd 01-21-2015 03:18 PM

omg so cool, i just force closed all my apps. reopened it and it took a little longer to load up this time, but the button is there.

seems well made, gives you the sound and desktop notifications can be turned on as well!

missing search function, although i guess you can ctrl+f if you load up the older messages
and media needs to be redownloaded, can flip through pictures but no album view. still a good feature though.
