Ye just installed liquid smooth, got surprised by the language at first |
installed liquid smooth last night with franco kernel. im blown away by how much faster and more smooth it is compared to the bigxie rom. and the battery life is definitely a plus! |

Bigxie is just the stock rom with root, superuser, busybox. It's not really any different which is why others will probably be better. |
I am not that happy with the speed of stock 4.2. I think I am going to try one of the others. I don't want one that is too customized though, usually it breaks more things than it fixes |
Android Revolution HD is as close to stock you can get. Almost all the other popular roms have mods like slimbean, liquid smooth, xylon, paranaoidandroid, etc. Have a look at minco. I've heard good things about them but not sure how much customizing they've done to the rom. I know at least the kernel is good since its Franco. liquid smooth has a stable 4.2.1? Anyone have a link please? |
Franco kernels have been shit since 4.2 though. |
I'm giving Purity rom a try right now. Was on nightlies for cm10.1 + latest franco for the longest time, but I find there is a memory leak after using a day or so and my phone slows to a crawl until a restart. |

So I'm still running 4.1.1. and I haven't received any updates. I tried the clearing google framework, checkin, check for updates and nothing. Any ideas what I should do? |
If you're on Yakju, wait. If you feel comfortable fucking with your phone, root it, unlock the bootloader, and load a takju 4.2 build. Yakju is the Canadian version and is updated by Samsung whose reaction to timely updates is basically :fuckthatshit: |

Installed Revolution 9.0 and LeanKernel 5.8. So far the performance and battery difference is instantly noticeable. Let's see if it holds up stability-wise! |
Is $250 for a BNIB model a decent deal? |
