Hopefully it won't be another 6 month wait for a 850/1900 version.

!Yaminashi 08-27-2011 10:23 AM

It looks exactly the same:speechless:

StylinRed 08-27-2011 11:17 AM

that's because the phone in the pic is a nexus s

!MiKrofT 08-27-2011 07:34 PM

Isn't it supposed to have like super amoled hd?

twitchyzero 08-27-2011 08:03 PM

an extra .5" diagnonal isn't that much bigger for the tablet argument...but if it's the same res as the GSII then yes it's not much of an improvement.

It better have a 2000 mAh battery to support that and the 1.5ghz dual core

!MiKrofT 08-28-2011 02:08 PM

LOL. Well the newer the CPU the more optimized it should be. I mean our 1.2Ghz literally sips power.

I am pretty sure after the success of the SGS II it will be a Quad band UMTS phone that will support 850/900/1900/2100. Hope so anyway, makes buying a phone over in Asia alot less frustrating. My friends are tools, they don't understand the concept of having to find a phone that supports 3G on 850mhz to justify buying it to bring back for Fido or Rogers...

twitchyzero 08-28-2011 08:40 PM

I sure hope it is the 720p SAMOLED

Gh0stRider 08-29-2011 12:37 PM

BGR is reporting that the Google Nexus Prime will be a Samsung-made device called the Samsung Droid Prime and it will be headed to Verizon in October. Exclusively.

Death2Theft 08-29-2011 08:17 PM

I'd junk my nexus s for a 5" screen. Who the hell talks on the phone anymore? The only time i do is via bluetooth in the car. Bigger screen and google junk free os FTW!

nns 08-30-2011 06:30 PM

Sounds like a Transformer.

Maybe it's me, but I'd rather have a smaller-sized screen for the comfort of having to carry it around in my pants pocket.

votoms888 08-31-2011 05:20 PM

Imho, 4.5" is the threshold for a mobile phone screen. Any larger and it becomes a bloody tablet.

Tim Budong 09-02-2011 02:25 AM

All I know is if or when this phone comes out, i'd be all over the sucker

looks like it wont have the rumored 720p screen :(. the only reason why id get a phone with 4.3"+ screen is if it had HD res

Gh0stRider 09-08-2011 09:20 AM

hopefully those aren't the real specs.

twitchyzero 09-08-2011 10:15 AM

i wont feel so bad if I get the GSII LTE later this month then knowing the prime won't sport a HD screen...that's until they announce quad-core phones at CES next jan :(

Noob Q but what type of stuff does Ice Cream Sandwich offer that's a huge improvement over the current android versions? There seems to be lot of hype on it.
