Awwwww shiet another ECE in da house!

I, uh.. took those 1, 1 and 5 years ago, respectively.

353 was pretty easy as a whole (labs, exams) with Steve Wilton, but it may differ depending on instructor.

456 has always been taught by Vincent Wong, year round. I took it last summer; it was relatively easy; solutions manual is online for problem sets, the WireShark labs are on YouTube and there's a cheat sheet for the final. But see if you can get past years' quizzes from someone, because he reuses a lot of the questions.

Someone else here has taken GEOG 122 before. When I took it, the only thing I hated were the discussions, in which verbal participation was mandatory. I actually found the lectures interesting, but many don't.

Aw man, UBC switched to having a summer exam week instead of doing them in class. Looks like I might drop my elective order find something to take online because I'm going away during the exam week :okay:

so how was it? and what's the mark distribution for 390?

instantneedles 05-14-2013 10:43 AM

^ :notbad: 40% midterm, 60% final with the option of having the final being worth 50 and midterm worth 50 if the midterm average is above 75% i believe.

The prof seems like a pretty fair guy

ShadowBun 05-14-2013 12:17 PM

not bad.
Omw to 391. Will report back

edit:
so.
45 MT
55 final

Pretty much the same.
No way I can wake up 6am for class and listen
I'll give 391 a shot

Anyone withdrew from a course with a W standing before? Is it a big deal to have a W standing on your transcript?

GGnoRE 05-28-2013 03:09 PM

^ Unless there is a W every year on your transcript or something, not a big deal

nope not a big deal.

like ggnore said, only if u do it every year, but even then the most it would show is that you are indecisive with your decision making and schedule planning

should have no impact on gpa at all whatsoever

MeowMeow 05-28-2013 05:53 PM

We didn't get rejected from UBC

:troll:

I don't think that's how it goes....

It's
"What's the similarity between a Sauder student and a Beedie student?"
"They both applied to UBC"

The majority of SFU Beedie students did get into UBC, just not Sauder.

hahaha there should be a UBC alumni meet, since a regular UBC RS meet is so hard to come by :troll:

Well, I finally graduated today. It was raining, but it feels great to conclude undergrad.
