I had Ruth for 298. She gets pissed off at people coming in late and/or making noise in class. Lecture is boring but not that bad. She's friendly.

typical ground rules.... i just hope i don't get a shitty ass group for the term paper

honestly should be a good grade unless doing stuff last minute
15% participation is a gift too

oh also instant advice on gym times?
when is it most packed?
when is the best time to go?

GGnoRE 09-03-2013 08:07 PM

^ For birdcoop I'd go in before lunch or after 6PM. Go during mid-afternoon and it will be jam packed.

i hope i luck out with a good group too, shitty group = anchor that brings you down with it

i warn you, janna taylor's open ended questions were brutal when i had her for another course. nit picky to the tiniest details.

lunch time to anywhere around 4-5 pm is when it's most packed. mornings and late evenings is when its least busiest. Honestly though, I just go whenever.. you'll find that the ppl in coop are pretty respectful with gym etiquette and will work in with you if you ask.

i went to check out the line today and decided not to get the pass today with the line as long as the stretch of the hallway.. will probably wait till next week

how was imagine day for you man?

GGnoRE 09-03-2013 08:13 PM

Good luck to all the new and continuing students!

Remember, four years now can change your next forty years.

Took a friend's chair from Marine Drive. Anyone who has lived in or been in Totem/Vanier/Marine Drive will understand how amazing these chairs are.

What?!@ free beer; guessing it had something to do with that green beer brand (can't remember) and sponsorship/marketing and how HKIN's color is green? :S

dyan 09-03-2013 09:14 PM

Anyone else having trouble paying tuition?

iunno lmao..

anyways..ppl who gym...
are there bigger lockers available somewhere close to bird co-op (holding a regular sized backpack) on the site it says there are wallet lockers (i assume they are small) and when I walked by today they were still renovating the locker room

i recall seeing some on the way to the line-up.... forgot how big they are... and whether or not they'll all be taken

there has to be quite a bit of em... just a matter of where.. I don't understand the lingo on the site

theevilslave 09-03-2013 09:50 PM

I would suggest renting out a locker in any building.
Last year me and friend rented out a high school sized locker for 20$ (10$ each) for the entire school year.

It's definitely worth it.

unless u have a bulky hiking backpack, the lockers should fit any regular backpack, u just gotta stuff it in a lil bit

i was just gonna comment on the lockers though

my #1 pet peeve of the birdcoop is finding available lockers to use... I always end up having to pay 0.50 during the year.. it adds up real fast when u go often

Went to pharmacy from comp sci this afternoon for "reading that newspaper" break.
Definitely worth it.

@needles
Apparently you can rent out high school sized lockers at rec for the year. Any experience with those? Planning on hitting the gym (..throughout the year :accepted:)

shawnly1000 09-05-2013 09:26 AM

You should see ANAT 390/391 and PHYL 301 lectures; they stream/broadcast them into an overflow lecture hall

Akinari 09-05-2013 09:47 AM

Wow walking into the Geography building is like walking into an ancient relic

In other news, my POLI240 prof I quote, "The thing about Nietzsche, you should read ahead BECAUSE HE FUCKS WITH YOU!" :lawl:
