If you guys don't have service up at SFU you can always use Dell Voice and make calls over sfu's wifi. It's free. No texting though. http://www.dellvoice.ca/ |
Just ported form Mobilicty to Wind and I'm finding it a lot better. I'm finally getting reception at my gfs house. Also loving the Galaxy Nexus. It was a pretty decent upgrade from the Nexus S. edit: are there any good services for free voicemail? |

I actually found the reception is better than last year Dec in Rmd |
i may be making the jump to Wind. Mobi Data has been shit for me for the last few days. Too bad i dont need unlimited calling, just a few hundred minutes and lotsa data. too bad they fucked all their decent plans. $25 for 100 mb/month is a joke. |
You wont regret it. 4 months and going strong ^ |

to be fair with their constant expansions, and 25 for 100 mb with talk and such is fair. i've been with wind since december and still happy |
well initiall Wind didnt offer anything close to what Mobi did AND i was happy with the service/reception. 3Mbps down 1 up. plenty of discounts and credits. unfortunately due to the massive promos, they fucked their own network. 150MB/hr softcap then throttled. Doesn't work for me. So what do i need to test out Wind? i realize now they only have 2 options for plans. their $25 fuck all plan (little data), and the $40 unlimited plan $25/month for unlimited everything is hard to walk away from. is Wind offering any port in credits? |
its a good think i got the Oh Canada plan before they took it off... yea i know after 1 year it goes to $45... maybe i can sweet talking them |

im not sure how long you've been with mobi, and maybe my memory isnt serving me so well, but i recall your posts in the speed test forum only at about 1-2mbps down for mobi? you can test out wind by going there, getting a plan, and your trial period is based one one of two conditions. a.) use less than 30 minutes of talk time b.) 15 day trial. if you exceed either conditions you wont get a full refund (minus the prorated usage) assuming you get one of their phones on the windtab or something. imo, wind would have been the better choice back then too, because of a more promising future. look at the expansions vs. mobilicity. the reason they have all those damn promotions is to try and keep up, but they dont have a big enough network to keep up. also winds coverage in gva alone is much better than mobilicity Quote:

what are you guys getting in terms of data speeds? this is what i typically get http://www.speedtest.net/result/1919865154.png -_- |
i'm getting anywhere from 2-3mbps down. sometimes higher. and usually about 0.5mb up on my gnex |
guess i'mma have to wait for a new promo. :( |
Wind Issues? I've been getting most of my calls straight to voicemail for the last 2 days and have not been able to connect my calls. Anybody else have the same problem in the East Van area? |

mobilicity looks like it's a dying train - just sooner or later... |

My speedtest from Wind: http://www.speedtest.net/android/175012251.png Getting pretty decent speeds and I've been streaming some of the playoff games through the gamecenter app with no problems |
so whats it gonna cost me to test drive on Wind? I have my own unlocked phone. |
just sign up for wind already Turbo E, mobi is a sinking ship. dont tell CRS that though... |
