He forced Maldonado 4 wheels off track, where the car looked like it bucked sideways while going over the curbing and shot back towards the track. Imagine if there was no run off there and this happened in Monaco where there is a wall. Hamilton would surely be penalized for not leaving sufficient room on track once the front wheels of the overtaking car have passed the rear wheels/cockpit area of the car being overtaken.

Some will say it's a racing incident, personally I put the fault on Hamilton for forcing Maldonado off track.

I believe Maldonado could of veered left in the run-off, but he decided to fight position on the exit causing him to lose steering input on the rumble strip hitting Hamilton. Hamilton is not at fault.

So how has this season been anyway? I haven't been paying attention at all, not enough time to devote to long races anymore. I stopped watching about 3/4 the way through last season, when Vettel had it locked down

Come on man! The first 7 races all had 7 different winners (Alonso first repeat winner of the season)

1st through 5th place in the Championship separated by just 26 points...

It's been a GREAT season!

SkinnyPupp 06-25-2012 10:52 PM

Sweet I'll catch up then. I have the last 5 races downloaded, which one is a "must see?" Before I go read spoilers to catch up

Great68 06-25-2012 11:11 PM

I think Valencia has been the best race this season, definately the most eventful.

Montreal is second for me (a little biased because I watched it live this year)

Sepang was good because of rain.

The best part of this season is that what happens in qualifying generally changes dramatically to race day.

Schumacher back on F1 podium

Juan Manuel Fangio was even older - his last F1 win was in 1957, and it was his last championship year too at 46 years old.

c3m 06-25-2012 11:23 PM

Sepang, Valencia and Montreal are the most exciting races for me so far this season

So Marussia test driver Maria di Villota crashed as she was returning, her wheels locked and she crashed into the truck that carries the f1 cars her helmet made contact with the semi and she is/was in life threatening condition

although the team issued a statement saying that she is now conscious

BBC News - F1 crash driver Maria de Villota seriously injured

I'm the younger generation of F1 fans so never seen Senna race (only YouTube clips) but I know he's one of the best. And that he's a madman!

Yes I didn't say best. You can easily figure out who I grew up idolizing :fullofwin:

mb_ 07-22-2012 04:07 AM

Hamilton tire puncture! :joy:

Noran 07-26-2012 12:13 PM

Vettels penalty was planned so Kimi didn't have to talk on the podium :willnill:
