I love F1! |

That's what happens with those tires though. There is no gradual down slide, they just fall off. Nice to see Rosberg finally take a win. It's been a long time coming. |

anyways what an epic season so far... championships going to go down to the wire between 4-5 drivers with the last race winner determining the champion is my guess |
Anybody hate this DRS shit? |
^ The DRS didn't have much effect in Shanghai. Rosberg didn't use DRS once and his lap times were matching the people who have used DRS and the top runners were constantly within 1 seconds of each other, yet it still took some of them numerous attempt to get pass. Personally I don't have problem with DRS. Yes it does changes the way driver drive and gives them an easier time for overtaking. But DRS only let the drivers go faster in a straight line, the drivers (the one being overtaken, and the one overtaking) still need to go offensive/defensive. I would say the problem is with the tires. The tires are designed to allow strategic racing but the downside to it is that every driver on the grid nurse their tires. Since I only started watching F1 in recent years, my perspective and expectation may be different than long-time fans. So I am interested in hearing the dislike about DRS |
wow even more respect for them after seeing how they're entombed |

Furthermore, being a Brawn car, I have my suspicions that somehow they are stalling the front wing invisibly when the car hits a certain speed. I know the duct is only visible when the DRS is on and the rear wing opens, but I would almost bet money that the aero is designed so that at a certain speed the airflow does a magical seinfeld loogie and swoops into a hidden hole that feeds the front wing ducts to stall the front wing. |
Why do you say that's why he got pole? DRS is only allowed within a 1 second behind someone and quali is not like this (IIRC?). Also, if it were allowed then everyone would be allowed so I don't see how it would only benefit Nico. |
Because during quali you can use DRS at ANY time. Since Mercedes has the only DRS that also stalls the front wing, it's a huge advantage on a track like china with its long straights. |
^ Track temperature also played a role I think. The track at Shanghai was a bit cooler than usual that day and it helped Mercedes from killing their tires (Rosberg did a 2 stopper) Unless Mercedes fixed their tires problem (they seem to be heavy on the tires until China), their cars would eat the tires really quickly in Bahrain. |
Human Rights Watch et al are widely against Formula 1 being in Bahrain noting that govt. just wants it there to try and pretend that things are A-Okay there 4 Mechanics were firebombed they're unhurt but rattled 1 of them flew home Also the drivers are told to keep quiet about the issues during interviews fucking Bernie shouldn't be letting the race happen |
As much as I agree, I need my F1 fix. And can't wait 3 weeks. |
^^^^ they shoulda gone somewhere else like Turkey; the Turkish grand prix is a lot better to look @ have you guys seen this overview of the "double" drs system of mercedes? http://www.formula1.com/news/technical/2012/0/953.html lot more technical than i imagined |
I must have had horseshoes up my ass last week. I bet $5 on Rosberg to win in China (or so I thought.) Well today I looked at my bet account and had $105 credit. I should have had maybe $20. Turns out I submitted 3x $5 bets on Rosberg by accident. :) |
rofl awesome where did you bet? |

As I mentioned a few posts above: Officially, the front wing only stalls when the DRS system is on and the the rear wing is open, but I have my own suspicions that somehow they are illegally ducting air in there when the cars reach a certain higher speed, in order to get even faster without the DRS being active. Although I also know that Brawn would not be stupid enough to risk throwing away a whole season and whatever other penalties they would get if caught.. so maybe not.. but you never know.. these F1 guys can be more secretive than airforce skunkworks. |
^^^ yeah i thought all it was was simply those slats on the wing I didnt realize it altered airflow throughout the whole car and exited out the front :fulloffuck: as for bet365 I didnt realize I have an account on there lol don't recall ever making one either :crazy2: edit: ah now i remember why i never used bet365... i cant make a deposit with any of my credit cards! they're not even american banks -_- wtf |
Rich Sandor, damn thats crazy! Good bet! lol I was gonna put 10 euros on Perez getting on the podium for Australia but decided against it, than forgot about it in Malaysia lol could've gotten 410 euros! |
OMFG MICHAEL JESUS FUCKING CHRIST what were they thinking not throwing in a better time ah broken drs too |
Vettel :rukidding: |
I'm starting to get really annoyed by this finger. Not because of his pole, just because his whole team and himself go cocky about getting pole. |
Schumacher having a lot of bad luck this season so far :okay: |
