Well I tried the wireless charging hack on my t889, but mixed results.

Initially it didn't work. Then I found my model required a wire to be soldered to the internal of the phone. I did it but the casing wouldnt close up well. I couldnt find wire thin enough. Anyways afrer the wire was in I attached the reciever to the phone and slipped onthe phone case without the battery cover. It wouldnt go on. Put the phone o the charging pad and it started charging.

At least I thought it did. The charge icon came on now but really, no appreciable charging was happening. Sometimes the phone charging widgit showed over 1A but normally it just said discharging. Maybe the Rogers/Bell versions work better.

I wasnt satisfied so I put my phone back to stock.

kind of late to jump into the note 2 bandwagon here so not sure if its been covered before

but anyone having problems using widget locker? about half the time it will work, the other times my default lock screen would show up, if not, goes straight to homescreen

also my message notifications dont show up if i have widget locker enabled

i read on forums that if you turn on homehelper this fixes the problems which is it did for couple of days until it stop working completely.. jb update possibly messed up this app

im also using nova launcher

Hmm im on cleanrom ace, using nova launcher as well with widget locker and mine is working fine. I have no lock screen, although when I did have one (pattern unlock) it worked fine for me. Any chance it has something to do with some of the settings of widget locker? Or maybe some of the widgets itself?

if you use microsoft exchange, that can interfere with some lockscreens.

-Will the Rogers Galaxy Note 2 work without unlocking on the Fido? (seems like yes)

-Will it work with Fido LTE? (unconfirmed from what I have read)

yes but there's a free unlock on it anyways.

and yes it'll work on fido lte make sure u do have a lte simcard though.

Where can I get a good Note 2 case for a decent price? All I can find are the Samsung flip case and the regular Samsung case at Best Buy and Futureshop.
Any cases I should consider as well?

Cheers, I have done the same. Just picked up a fido LTE sim 3 hours ago, and activated the sim.

However, I cannot get LTE to initialize (stuck on 4g, which is really HSPA+).
I wonder if there is some period of time before it becomes active. I've made sure my APN's are correct ... :okay:

Dropped my S3 and cracked the screen, renewed my contract to get a Note 2. What case are you guys using? Don't want anything bulky but I want it to offer some decent protection. Cost is not too much of an issue just as long as it's reasonable

My sister has a nillkin for her note 2 and I have one for my nexus 4. Pretty good slim case. Decent price on amazon/ebay but it's dirt cheap if you are able to order on taobao.

If you look at the past posts I currently use the official Galaxy Note II leather pouch.

You can find them on amazon for under $20 usually.

I answer phone calls while the phone is in the pouch if you were wondering. If i were to drop it, at the very least there's a 75% chance the leather will protect it.

Waiting for Note III to replace my s3 ...

Got mine on Thursday and love it so far! It's not "too big" but definitely need 2 hands most of the time to use it

not to mention the battery life is already insane. a $5 eBay battery will do just as well for emergencies.

im already splitting mine with a buddy

however, i got one of those made in china note 2 battery.. it says 35oomAH on it but whenever i use it, i get about only 7 hours of life on it on moderate use.. it cant read the percentage properly, when i charge it will say 100% but when i unplug it it goes down to 92%

its up for grabs for $5 if anyone wants it, its good for backup.... like a short battery life back up

rip it open (just a sticker). you'll see the battery doesn't even fill up the casing. at best they are maybe 50-75% of its rated capacity. you'll notice they are much lighter than OEM or Anker brand. still, for $30 i can have 6 to chuck in the car or around the house.

Is something up with Rogers at the moment? I havent been getting off edge for the past couple hours
