Mine's been fine all day

the unthinkable happened, dropped the phone getting out of the car the other day. I would say it was a 2 feet drop and it landed flat on the screen face. The glass and digitizer is completely shattered. Got quoted from Samsung and it's a $295 bill FML

That's what happened to my S3 so called rogers up to renew contract, got early hup waived and only paid $30 for note 2 :fullofwin:

did you had a case? i have a rubber cover that only covers the back and iv dropped my note 2 at least 3 times off a table or from my pocket while standing into concret..i was pretty surprise how durable the phone is for something thats quite heavy and big.. i assume maybe the rubber case cushions the fall.. i never have it fall flat on the screen though


also i believe samsung made the s3 and note 2 having the lcd screen and the gorilla glass as one piece so even though u didnt damage the lcd, u still have to replace the whole thing

at least they change that for the s4..

Sadly I'm not eligible for a hup, my line is from my work and it's only a few months old.

I only had an invisible shield full body vinyl. I don't like the feel of a case, but I'll guess its something I have have to get use to.

just recently updated my phone to 4.1.2

one thing i find annoying is when i press the home button to turn on the screen, the task manager screen/ recently open app screen shows up... its the same as when holding the home button, its what shows up..

it doesnt do all the time, but id say 4 out of the 10 times id press the home button out of standby, it shows up

im using nova launcher with widget locker.. it does it as well with touchwiz...

is there a way to turn this off?

Might get the otterbox defender. I work outdoors in the rain sometimes. Could use the extra protection from the elements

Do you guys think Note 3 will come out for Fido too? I can get S4 for free if I renew my contract..

i done fucked up... bought a note 2 off of craigslist, phone was in perfect condition and everything seemed fine, used it for a week then all of a sudden i couldnt make calls or use data. I went to the repair shop and they said everything is in working condition and they couldnt find anything wrong. Is it possible for the phone to be blacklisted making it useless?

Pretty unlikely. Providers don't usually blacklist single imei. Did u check that your sim works?

Sim works fine put it in my brothers phone and it worked perfectly. Ill bring it by samsung repairs to see what they can find, hoping it wont be too expensive.. been having badluck with phones this whole year -.-
