The USD to CDN exchange rate is also sitting higher - it's at $1.03 or so - but with your credit card, you might be getting closer to $1.06/1.07 - which is almost like paying a second tax.

Hopefully someone that has the first gen Nexus 7 and is jumping to the new one can post up a short review for the rest of us :D

Graeme S 07-29-2013 06:11 PM

IIRC Darthchilli has one and plans to upgrade.

Lomac 07-30-2013 01:13 PM

Uh oh, hope that's just a one-off problem. Was thinking of picking one up today after work, but had hoped more people would have posted their experience with it by now.

Gh0stRider 07-30-2013 03:20 PM

good thing Darthchilli didn't buy from the states....

Tim Budong 07-30-2013 03:33 PM

!Yaminashi 07-31-2013 04:49 AM

The more I see the new one the more I want it. I just doubt I'd be able to sell my first gen for anything

Mine seems snappier as well.

So apparently, they added a TRIM function, which will only activate when it's either 80% battery+, or 30% and charging, AND has been inactive for at least an hour.
