Report says a $99 Nexus 7 is coming "as early as the first quarter of 2013" | MobileSyrup.com

$99? Srs? Screw the iPad mini

JKam 12-20-2012 12:51 PM

what... Maybe I'll just buy another one now to supplement my tf101..

$99 is just crazy. Kind of pissed that I bought one @ $259 now!

*edit
whoops typo.

ShadowBun 12-20-2012 01:17 PM

lol $159 for nexus 7?

For how big?

Lomac 12-20-2012 02:31 PM

If they do release one, chances are it'll be a stripped down, 8gb model. Even so, though, that would be a damn steal. Ended up buying a 7" Tab2 to replace my old 16gb N7 I sold a while back. Have yet to play with it, but I've a feeling it wont be as nice to use. :okay:

vanle 12-24-2012 10:54 AM

looks dope

Tim Budong 01-10-2013 10:43 AM

FINALLY THE FUCKING DOCK WILL BE RELEASED

Nexus 7 dock will be priced at $39.99 in US, to ship within two weeks (update) | The Verge

I'm assuming it can be bought from the google play store when it's released.

Debating whether or not I should get it though...

Psykopathik 01-11-2013 10:39 AM

yep, all it does is make my nexus 7 a nice digital clock lol.

StylinRed 02-20-2013 04:19 PM

So I'm trying to put some mp3 files on a nexus7 and for some reason when played back on the nexus some files play at a sped up rate so much so that it sounds like the chipmunks speaking quickly... :fulloffuck: they play normally on my computer and Symbian phone however the ones that have an issue on the nexus7 won't play at all on my friends android phone
Anyone have any ideas?

Razor Ramon HG 02-20-2013 08:15 PM

Try another player

StylinRed 02-20-2013 08:43 PM

yeah tried a few they dont work

so weird

Razor Ramon HG 02-20-2013 08:46 PM

Weird. You're going to have to re-download the songs then (unless you have FLAC and can transcode them to MP3 again).

Anyone else had to RMA their nexus?

Mine's been with google since Jan 28th ...
LCD burnt out/when all white

BaoTurbo 03-06-2013 04:35 PM

Mine wouldn't turn on now after it ran out of batteries for a couple days and I just left it there. Plugged it in for a night and next morning still no screen at all. Idk maybe when I left it in the bathroom while showering the steam created water damage?

have you tried holding the power button for 30+ seconds? mines done that before... then i just held the power button for what felt like an eternity and boom it came back on

!MiKrofT 03-07-2013 09:59 AM

If you're on 4.2. Try not to let your Nexus 7 drain to 0%. It'll bootloop if you do.

Luckily the fix is really easy. With the Nexus 7 off. Plug in the charger. Immediately afterwards press and hold Power and Vol Down. At the bootloader screen press Vol Down till you see the Shut down or Power Off or something option. Press the Power button and it'll turn off. Unplug and replug your charger. Done.

Fuck google, this is my second nexus (replacement .. brand new mind you) ...

right out of the box it doesn't work. Such a piss off. no one else is having similar problems?

Apple products might be overpriced but I've never had one be DOA.

BaoTurbo 03-27-2013 11:27 PM

You get what you pay for kinda. At the same time its a good price though for a decent tablet honestly.

Agree never had an issue with any apple products. They just seem to work very decent out fo the box. Got a Nexus 4 last week and is taking some time to adjust the phone so it works the way I want to.

!MiKrofT 03-28-2013 11:25 AM

I've gone through 2 of them. Not a single problem hardware wise.

BrRsn 03-29-2013 10:48 AM

^Maybe just my bad luck? Google has agreed to give me a refund (almost a year after I purchased it, lol) ... so I think I'm going to buy the samsung chromebook and see how that works :( Damn nexus.

Vansterdam 04-03-2013 05:01 AM

is there anything worth modding, tweaking or download for this thing?

All I use it for is movies and Web browsing lol
