You need to wine and dine it before she'll let you ride it ;)

I'm buying some parts off of ronayers.com, if anyone needs OEM parts and wants to add in their order with mine to save on shipping, let me know

I'd like to make the order some time this weekend.

Great savings off of dealership prices whose markups are huge, I'm saving nearly $100 on a $400 order.

Have you checked with the chopshop by the old RMS to see if Brad has your part?

Did you remember the fuel stabilizer before putting your bike away?
Try shaking your bike side to side to move the gas around. Make sure your fuel switch is on. Once you are able to fire it up I would take it for a spin to open it up a little.

Raid3n 02-12-2013 12:02 PM

fuel stabilizer in the tank, but i can't remember if i took it for a ride to work it through the carbs.

i'm going to give it a shot in a couple hours when i get home from work

Negative, I needed brand new parts for my transmission.

I've heard of the Chopshop plenty but never actually checked it out.

Last season I drained the float bowls then fired her up, that did the trick.

quick question for you guys that bought new

Can you guys haggle on the Frt/Pdi charges?

Called a dealer one day and it was 595 + HST, called the second day and it was 595 + 295 doc fee + HST?

Somehow seems to me that he just made up whatever fees he wants.

Any suggestions?

?NR 02-13-2013 07:05 AM

hehe I've always found doc fees to be oxymoronic and always asked the sales why are you charging me fees for documents that you as seller have to complete in order to sell me this car/bike of yours? Want the sale? Get rid of the document fee. *walk away*

Man so true, I see this a lot. Not surprising from Vancouver tho. Makes me wish autonomous cars were present by now... riding wouldn't be so damn stressful and it would actually be possible to have some spirited riding without the fear of some dickweed pulling out of nowhere :rukidding:

Doc fee is bs. Used bike market is killing a lot of dealerships. Say you will walk if they dont remove doc fee cause you can for sure find a better deal, or save a few grand if you buy used.

For cars I know you can negotiate on a new car, I dont see why you cant for the bike market. (I dont know really but it makes sense to me.) As of now though i think it would be a tough negotiation because the weather has been so nice, if their new bikes are selling like hot cakes you will probably not get a discount from MRSP

That's the same as car dealers... you can't negotiate if it's selling like hotcakes.

There are some dealership you can talk down MSRP and waive doc fees and stuff.

Still can't get er to turn over? What's been done to the carbs thus far if you don't mind me asking?
Posted via RS Mobile

Raid3n 02-23-2013 02:17 PM

i'm going to pull the carbs off today... and probably tear out the airbox while i'm at it... it is a godawful nightmare to work with.

last year i had them apart and cleaned them out, it ran okay, the more damp it got in the year the harder it was to start though

when i get the tank off i'll probably pull the plugs and check them out.

Vale46Rossi 02-23-2013 03:38 PM

Everyone is insured? :S
