Yeah. Sold it to a guy in Maple Ridge who races with the WMRC. He wanted a classic/vintage bike to keep and for track days with the vintage club. I wanted it to go to a good home and owner who would ride it more than I would. I broke even on the bike, minus maintenance costs (sadly, you can never recoup maintenance costs.) :( Not sure what's next. Itching for the 2009 Yamaha R6 (black/gold) but not sure how much I'll ride. I only managed to fit in 5 rides last year and had no desire to ride much after I started bicycling. :( Maybe go back to a 49cc scooter. :troll: |
just got my L woo, just curious any recommendation on riding schools? I live in Richmond and i was thinking about Sunday Motorcycle school, says on google there's good... but anyone else heard of them? or recommend anything else? |

if you are in Richmond, I would suggest Pacific Riding School as its not too far from Richmond, but Sunday Riding School is a good choice too. Pacific has a special for Revscene members in groups of 5 and they have a very comprehensive/flexible schedule. Lots of nice rides out today. Just parked mine for the day cus of dentist visit :( hope the weather sticks around tomorrow! Posted via RS Mobile |

Motorcycle skills test The motorcycle skills test is a 15-minute test of basic riding skills like signalling, handling the clutch and throttle, braking and turning. When can I take the motorcycle skills test? You take this test after passing the motorcycle knowledge test, but before taking a motorcycle road test. If you Then you can take the motorcycle skills test already have a B.C. driver's licence after holding a Class 6L motorcycle learner's licence for at least 14 days. don't already have a B.C. driver's licence (or are in the graduated licensing program) after holding a Class 8L motorcyle learner's licence for at least 30 days. Note: If you take a course at a certified rider training school, you may be able to skip the regular motorcycle skills test. The school assesses your basic riding skills instead. What's the test like? The motorcycle skills test is about 15 minutes long. It takes place in a paved lot at slow speeds. You're tested on identifying the controls on your motorcycle pushing the motorcycle (non-powered) using hand signals key notes: A) you need knowledge test completed B) you need an insured bike AND another full class 6 (above 25 yrs) to supervise, otherwise you cannot ride alone between dawn to dusk. Speed limited/no highways C) 14 days in after you completed your knowledge, test (30 if you are 8L and not 6L), and hopefully practice in between then, you may take the Skills Assessment. Parking lot slow maneuvers. D) once you pass skills test, you may ride alone day or night however this expires one year from the date you got it. you must complete your full class 6 test before time elapses, otherwise you will forfeit and have to redo from step A again. if i missed anything feel free to correct. |

Also, unlike previous spring meets, the upcoming one will resemble more of a summer meet (albeit in a public venue). Who's planning to ride down? If there is a sizable group maybe a dedicated spot for bikes can be arranged. let me know. |

edit: maybe plus 1 or 2 other friends also on bikes |
