lol wow.. i actually won one of the 10 phones they were giving away when they were doing the windows 8 demo thingy back during the holidays... now i hope they ship me a yellow lumia 920 :D

Where can I get a Lumia 920 without a contract? Some stores either won't sell it to me, or don't have it in stock, or are asking $700+ :seriously:

a rogers store? then unlock it thru one of the many websites (that can do it finally) still going to cost around $700 after taxes etc

update the firmware thru rogers before you do



that or you can go to MobileDNA in richmond think they want $750 for it though and they've got the White model

Has anyone with a Lumia 920 (RM-821) successfully connected to Rogers LTE network?
Rogers supposedly has the 2600mhz LTE band, which my 920 has, but I cant get LTE. I can only use 4G speeds right now (its not slow, but more speed is always good :P). Is 2600mhz not launched in VanCity yet?

Yes, I have the LTE microSIM.

In my access points list, it shows Rogers LTE active, but its still not showing the LTE icon on top left.

do you have it setup in your settings to accept lte speeds?

i think its in the network settings category

Yes, it is already on the highest setting, 4G.

Does your phone say LTE under "Highest connection speed"?

ill have to check (not my phone my dads)

you can check if you're getting LTE speeds by using the speedtest app

yessss they are sending me a yellow lumia 920.. love the color.. might have to get rid of my other phones while i'm still in hk :fullofwin: i wonder if they'll notice if i sell off my note 2 lte as a n7105 since it is running a n7105 rom lol, and my iphone 5 ~~ stupid how i have to carry around 2 phones atm coz the internet on my phone is literally not working 90% of the time except for whatsapp but works completely fine when i'm tethering =\ so i'm carrying 2 phones around one for internet/google maps the other for normal calling lol ~~

just get a unbranded one off ebay. don't even have to worry about all the stupid rogers crap that's on the phone and it comes unlocked already.. chances are it'll cost you a lot less.
