Is the 1520 available here? I am going to assume no.

Another question:

Is the Lumia 1020 the same, if not better, in terms of how it feels in your hand compared to the Lumia 920? I like the overall weight of the 920 but have yet to see/feel the 1020. As much as I like my Nokia N9, the weight has something left to be desired. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

1520 is not available in Canada (yet?). I got mine in HK.

The 1020 is a bit lighter than the 920, but it still has quite a bit of weight to it though. Overall, it still feels solid. However, I still prefer the feel of the 920. The extra weight makes it feel more substantial.
Also, it feels a little weird with the camera hump in the back, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

Thanks for that.

I'm holding on to my Nokia N9 for at least another year before I retire it. Still a great phone but I feel that it's time to move on to a Lumia to keep up with the Jones'.

lumia yuck what are you thinking dukes

bcrdukes 01-13-2014 06:28 AM

I should be more specific. Lumia 920/1020. :p

StylinRed 01-14-2014 10:09 PM

:P well if you were going to go for one 1020 it is since its got the nice camera but if you dont like that disc in the back and dont care about the camera then the 920 feels/looks nicer

but yuck WP

bcrdukes 01-14-2014 10:22 PM

I'm holding off because I still actively use the Sports Tracker app with the heart rate monitor. The support on WP8 is less than stellar. :okay:

You could always go for Nokia Normandy it's Nokias Android phone that might come out might not come out but given all the press around it that is being "leaked" it sounds like it will be released

it's using Nokias own version of Android like how the Kindle Fire has its own look can't recall the term they use for that style of android

looks like android with a WP skin

Ewww, no.

They need to bring back Maemo/Meemo and Symbian.

TOS'd 10-01-2014 01:56 PM

I'm pretty excited, I love the look of the rear camera and the overall phone. How about you @bcrdukes?

bcrdukes 10-01-2014 02:07 PM

The Blackberry Passport does have its merits. I'm not sure which one I would choose.
