I haven't found any perm fix yet.
I ordered new sim card tray from ebay, only $4 shipped, if that fixes great if not, i'm only out $4...

Anyone know or know place that can fix, let me know

I still like S4, dont want to trash it because of this annoying problem...

i have the exact same issue as well. it would keep restarting my phone but works again once its been booted.

phew. . . seeing u guys post the price of repairing shocks me. i'm glad i got my phone screen and housing replaced in vietnam for only $40 LOL. . . looks as good as new :) my phone was trashed before

Battery issue. Was at 100% last night. Now is at 83% Top 3 battery usage is Android OS at 17% Android System at 17% and google play services at 14% Seems like the phone isn't put to deep sleep at all. I guess the only want to fix it is to root the phone and install CM.......

m3thods 02-05-2015 11:00 AM

If you're going to root and install a new rom, I suggest SlimRoms over CM.

Ugh.

Sooo my wife dropped her S4 and *surprize* the screen is cracked to shit.

I might attempt to replace the screen myself, but it doesn't look like fun lol.

Anyone know of some decent places that can repair it, that won't cost me a fuckin' kidney?

There was a deal posted on Social shopper for screen repair a little while ago.

Battery is starting to go. Where you buy your new one, how much, and is it working well? I've bought replacement batteries online for my old phones before and the capacity was garbage compared to the original, so I'd like to avoid that this time.

Lending my old S4 to a friend (which also had battery issues so i ordered this one) and was told the battery life is even better now

Anker is a legit company as well.

SSM_DC5 12-25-2016 10:15 AM

8 months later and my battery is starting to lose its capacity again. Was going to buy another Anker one, but it's 3x more expensive and Anker themselves aren't the seller.
Any other suggestions for a battery?
