I usually got the this store in crystal mall. It cost aobut $6 and they apply for you.

$5 on eBay for a tempered glass one. You won't regret it.

Is there a specific one you recommend? I see a whole bunch of generic ones online with price ranges of $6-$15 or so.

Ouch, my wallet! I paid almost $50 including shipping from spigen.

Worse part is...it cracked below the home button area >_<

They are not all created equal. I got a generic $6 tempered glass screen protector for my S3 and it is pretty bad. The glass is 'rough' not smooth like the stock glass, it smudges easily and doesn't fit well on the edges.

S4 lags sometimes, completely stock for me though.
Anyone running good custom roms that make it snappier?

Did you try Reducing Animator Scales?

Go to Settings > More > About phone > Tap build number 3-7 times > Go back > Developer options > Disable or reduce all animator scales. It will significantly speed up loading or launching of apps due to the disabled or minimised animations.

Is there a way to stop all apps from running? they are draining my data causing me to go over my limit of 500mb. I've noticed that "google play store" is using quite a bit of my data updating its bunch of apps automatcally which I dont need

I went into "applications manager" and looked at the "running" apps and there seems to be a whole bunch of apps running but I did not open any of them. For example: story album, weather widget, beaming services, S health, S voice etc

I have now disabled my "mobile data" so I can only access apps and Internet when I am connected to wi-fi

anyone to chime in on this?

Go to the play store settings and change auto update apps to wifi only

For battery drain issues, here is something fixed it for me.

1. Download betterbatterystats
2. Charge phone to 100%
3. Use phone to about 50%
4. Open app
5. Select partial wakelock
6. See what is waking your phone, take note on the "count". If it's first on the list, but only has several counts, it's not that significant. Look for the one that has 1000+ counts. It means that the app has opened 1000+ times during sleep.

Non-carrier/contract phone. Purchased from HK unlocked. Non-rooted.

Aside from my external SD card. My internal memory has less than < 200 MB remaining.

- I know I still have < 400 MB or so of picture on the internal memory
- 97% of my apps are moved to SD storage

Where is my other 8gb??? or realistically...at least 5-6gb?
I know the Android system takes up space..but not by 8+GB of space.
All I want is to be able to update my phone (~670mb) :fulloffuck:

Amazon.ca has them. I think they ship out of Richmond so it is pretty fast and good return policy. Unless you want to check them out instore. Then my suggestion is useless.

I had one but it wasn't worth it, way too slow. You'll be way happier with a Nexus 5

Crystal mall cell phone stores has them. They're fake though. I bought a Spigen case for my gf's S4 at Crystal Mall, the one with the front cover that has a cutout for the screen. She accidentally dropped it once and the front cover broke off.

I then ordered another Spigen case from amazon and got it in a few days and found that the one I ordered from amazon comes with an "authenticity code" and you can punch in on spigen.com to verify it. The one I bought at Crystal Mall didn't have this code.

That may be why the first one broke so easily. Even though the store at crystal mall still charge approx the same price as amazon. I should also add that the fake one looks pretty good too, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if it werent for the authenticity code.

My suggestion for you, look at the styles they have at crystal mall and then order the real thing from amazon. if its more than $25, it qualifies for free shipping anyways.

Do any of these Crystal Mall / local shops selling these fake Spigen sell...just the frame?

I bought my charger off Amazon but misread the item description and had to order the receiver part itself separately. Currently waiting for that piece to come in, but I can update this post when I get to finally use my charger!

Changes I've noticed

- Can't hide applications anymore in apps drawer
- White status bar icons like the Nexus devices
- New camera shortcut on lock screen

Rant: Still didn't bring back the data toggle. Grrrrrr. I have no idea why they removed it in 4.3 :devil:
