shop.ca is going to have pre-orders this morning at 8AM EST (5am our time)

They're selling a Killzone bundle 1yr PS Plus, Killzone 4, PS4

can anyone confirm that a ps4 purchased locally will work in hk?
i preordered 2 units, 1 for me and 1 for my brother in hk
but im not sure if this regional lock thing will affect game play

I believe games don't have regon lock. It's only Blurays you need to worry about although you can get some that will work across the board too.

I ordered another one PS4 this time from Shop.ca since it came to $160 discount the trouble is that its not slated for delivery until Dec 9th -_-

Asked them to cancel the order but their customer service seems to be shit

dont underestimate console line up.. i still remember back in '06 for the ps3, driving passed lansedowne mall and seeing the line ups for Futureshop and Bestbuy intertwined with more than a hundred people on each line..

also whats different 7 years ago, Rogers Video and Blockbuster did midnight launch so people had more option back then..

holy shit brings back memories with the Wii too, everyone wanted one, the line ups for when that came out were alot bigger... people had no idea that thing would be a dust collector

I dont think xbox is better because of halo at all. In fact all signs point to the fact that the console is actually inferior. I merely pointed out that no matter what I still want to play Halo 5.

Also Titanfall is going to be a huge game. As stated before, its from the original boys at IW the ones who made Modern Warfare what it is today. So basically the guys who took COD to the absolute pinnacle.

And yes I have played Uncharted and it is a fantastic series.

I am not an xbox fanboy by any means, but why isn't there an XB1 thread?

I have my fears for microsoft and the future of Xbox cause I think they fucked it up...

I'll be interested to see what they end up doing, but I won't hold my breath. Personally MW1 is still one of my favourite games, before the CoD series became gimmicky as hell (MW2 was okay, but it was starting to get a bit meh).

IMO Microsoft has hugely fucked up on every XBox to date, and people still buy them in droves, so unless they *should* be okay. I wonder what (if anything) they've learned from the 360 though.

So anyone think there will be a shortage after launch?

Cuz this time around, the PS4 is nothing more than a specialised mid-spec PC. I don't think any components would have a supply issue unlike the PS3. I remember when the PS3 launch, there was a shortage of blu-ray drive and low yield on the CELL.

Well being holiday season I can see there being an initial shortage, but I'm sure they'll restock pretty quick.

There will be an initial shortage. Look for that to be cured entirely before the main holiday season shopping starts (AKA before beginning of dec.)

anyone planning to upgrade the harddrive?
if the ps4 doesnt support external hdd, how does one back up everything from the 500gb to an external and then to the new bigger harddrive? (thats how it was done for my ps3's 80GB to a 320GB)
with games getting so big, im sure it'll fill up pretty quick
