there were reports of possible delays before launch though and that's why sony backed down from comments about how everyone who wants one will have them for christmas (not sure if they did back away from it though just read that)

if there are delays though, all those ebay sellers will probably be kicking themselves for selling quick and only breaking even ;)

Doesn't Bestbuy and Futureshop have horrible warranty stories? You could buy an additional 2 year warranty making the total 3 years via Sony directly for $49.99 or $59.99 which would include accidental damage.

Why not buy the Playstation extended warranty instead?

I think that's what I'll do too. Such a hassle to do deal with BB/FS. The Sony warranty seems like the best way to go .

So about these codes... Dont use them... If you don't have the game disc for ps3,you can't play them. Thank goodness I didn't lose 10bux out of my own pocket. However. That 10bux gone to waste as I was going to get sound shapes

so it seems like a lot of these broken ps4 r from amazon, where the shipping box arrived damaged. some consoles even have physical damage on them out of the box, theres lots of talk on reddit regarding doa units from amazon. someone at the amazon warehouse really hates their job.

ps, the shipping method is pretty stupid, they just put the ps4 within a huge box and put something on top of the ps4 to protect it, n nothing at the bottom. so anything physical damage to the bottom of the box will be a direct hit to the ps4, mine was shipped the same way

Surprise the way it was shipped.... The packages I order from amazon have better protection than that and it was not even electronics.

Likewise, I've ordered a hand full of things from Amazon before from Blurays to books, to a life size Lancer Gun from Gears of War. All came with heavy packaging.

Although my PS4 from Best BUy came in a big box with a shit load of paper inside to protect it. However, all the paper was on top of the box and nothing at the bottom. So far though I've logged about 10 hours on my PS4 with no issues and no physical damage either.

I think the DOA issue is being overblown. Of course every single user who had a broken console would go rant online. But when you look at how many units are out there, it's really not a big issue.

Mine works fine as well as my other 12 friends on list who got PS4 too.

scared the shit outta me today.... I decided to try out that stupid ass Warframe game that looks like it was made for 10 year olds, shit froze while it was updating and I had to unplug the power cord... when I turned the PS back on, I got that pulsing blue led issue and thought I bricked the PS.....
rebooted it though, and menu told me not to unplug the cord like that, logged in deleted the shit out of Lameframe after playin it for a minute...
