I don't know what it says about crypto, but I honestly can't and still cannot decide if this post is facetious or not

Lol, if I was a thot, I'd be telling people to send me BTC/ETH donations, not those other garbage coins. My simps would be opening Coinbase accounts left and right.

mikemhg 08-20-2021 05:16 PM

I'm sure this has been asked before, but Newton or Coinbase are the easiest methods to purchase crypto for Canadians?

Which is best, or is there a better option for a newb like myself?

Haha I read an article that commented about these coins, and I too, don't know if it was satire or not.

NDAX as well. This is pretty good for beginners since it has a good spread of coins and none of the really shit coins.

total insanity

donk. 08-24-2021 12:00 PM

$♂️
There is no money in NFTs

Its 0.1% of people making money, they rest are resellers waiting for a pump and dump of a specific nft

Posting their garbage for 2000eth

Manic! 08-24-2021 12:49 PM

Open See NFT marketplace does over a billion dollars in trades a month.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linke...trading-volume

Tried to make an NFT but the eth gas fee is around $140 to have it minted.

donk. 08-24-2021 12:57 PM

Gotta launder that 500 billion USA drug market somehow

https://opensea.io/assets/0xd07dc426...61d2430/212017

Here, go buy my nft that i made, yOu cAN seLl it for 22000ETH in 2022!

The 140$ is just minting fee
Then theres another 3 fees i believe for x y and z
When i made 10 of those during the first nft wave craze, i had to pay 80 in minting, then another 120 in transfers, posts, and whatever else

mikemhg 08-25-2021 05:11 PM

https://opensea.io/bundles/mentor-s-mindset-quotes-QJu

Am I reading this right? $16,122,350.00

How is this not money laundering? :lol

Manic! 08-25-2021 05:47 PM

Make a NFT
put it for sale
buy it with crypto you got illegally
claim the sale on your taxes.

Did I get it right?

threezero 08-26-2021 10:51 AM

If you guys want to check out the NFT craze without the stupid ETH fee.

SOL is taking of right now for exactly that reason.

Beside NFT art. NFT gaming is also taking off, which I personally see more sustain growth than the current pixel art craze.

People dump thousand of dollar onto stupid mobile games and walk aways with nothing. The NFT gaming model where you can own and trade everything you earn in game is really a game changer.

Manic! 08-29-2021 05:17 PM

Cryptopunks has sold over a billion in NFT's. Even Visa bought one for 150K.

https://techcrunch.com/2021/08/28/cr...ket-goes-wild/

I/we really need to get in on this.

StylinRed 08-29-2021 07:01 PM

I would not be surprised if some people are bidding/buying there own items to pump up the price like whats happening in the retro gaming market. With NFT's you have no idea who the bidders/winners are.

This is also interesting.

How do fees work? Do I still get to benefit from secondary sales of my items?

Yes! We let you decide whatever fee you want to charge on your items — meaning that every time an item is sold, you (the developer of the project) will receive a percentage cut of the sale.

Fees can either be levied on the seller or the buyer. To understand the difference, consider a user selling an item for 1 ETH. With a 2% seller fee, the buyer would pay 1 ETH for the item and .02 ETH would go to the developer (you), meaning the seller would receive .98 ETH. With a 2% buyer fee, the buyer would pay 1.02 ETH for the item, .02 ETH would go to the developer (you), and 1 ETH would go to the seller.

Note: Buyer fees are temporarily disabled. Thanks for your patience!

You're free to play around with whatever fees you'd like in the storefront editor. We advise using a seller fee of 2.5% or less.

OpenSea provides its marketplace infrastructure for free—it's entirely free to get started setting up a marketplace and using our platform. As compensation for this service, 2.5% of each sale will go to OpenSea.
If I understand correctly if you sell an item you can set a fee for the seller. So every time the item is sold you get a %.
