Anyone got any hookups for 3070TI or 3080 LHR? Friend is looking for a card for his system.

StylinRed 08-31-2021 11:53 PM

Did he try and go into a Canada computers? Last couple times I've been inside one (week ago) the shelves were stocked

Guy working there said stock is in steady supply now, especially since they limited/removed online inventory

There is no money in NFTs

Posting their garbage for 2000eth

that's seriously so far from the truth.
i'm in a few discords where basically everyone is making money.
right now it's like gambling with a 60%+ chance of winning, and when you lose, you can still hold and sell later to make back half of your losses in most cases, and some of those losses that you don't sell still have an outside chance of suddenly pumping to make you several eth each once in a while.

i was into it a lot for the last few months now i'm chilling out cause it's causing me some stress to be so on top of things.. i took a step back and it's still going good because every week the market keeps surging higher. whenever i start feeling bearish about the market dragging another bull run comes along.

i taught my friend how to get into it just 1 week ago and he took his $14k and turned it into about 60k in a week, so yeah, it's not 0.1% of ppl making money..

68style 09-02-2021 04:33 PM

^ am your friend, have not been taught :okay:

unit 09-02-2021 07:58 PM

haha if anyone seriously wants to learn i can at least help with how to get started and the general strat, but the rest is up to the person. one of the downsides is that if you don't have any crypto then the cost of entry is high.. you need at least 2 eth, and imo 4-5 is a better number.

my gf got me into it about 4 months ago with a project called veefriends.. i didn't want to invest in stupid jpgs i thought it was ridiculous, but my gf was so into it that we both bought one.

i bought this stupid slug for about 2k USD which i thought was the craziest decision i've ever made and now it's worth 13eth or 49k... obviously it's not like this with every project but this type of thing is not a unicorn in the nft market, it happens all the time.

He has had an offer
Highest offer 9.511 ($36,270.96)

Razor Ramon HG 09-02-2021 09:16 PM

Why so skeptical?

He's literally just gambling that a random object (in this case an image) is going to go up in value.

Because there's no "value" other than what people are willing to pay

"Offers" may or may not be actual offers. Try accepting it and see what happens.

68style 09-02-2021 09:51 PM

I mean… cant be much worse risk wise than buying certain stonks and shitcoins? I’ve done half decent doing that the last 7-8 months could be worth a shot

Yeah, but that applies for everything.

If you can see the value in Bitcoin, seeing the value in NFTs shouldn't be too foreign of a concept.

I can take bitcoin and literally sell it to someone, either for money for exchange of goods with zero delay

If I have an NFT, there's a website that says someone is "offering" for it.

One has value, one doesn't

You can say that one is gold and the other one is a painting/drawing.

Does a painting have no value because there is no commonly agreed upon price?

You can't compare an asset with a fixed price with one that has a varying price like that.

A painting is worth what someone will pay for it... You're basically making my argument for me

If someone owns the Mona Lisa, they can say they have something worth $130 million or whatever, because someone will pay that

If someone has an NFT and says it's worth $30K, I say try selling it for that.

unit 09-03-2021 07:58 AM

when you have an offer on opensea you can just click accept and the eth will go to your account.

unit 09-03-2021 08:03 AM

i'd be willing to sit down with you guys on discord to talk about it if you're interested, i'd just liken it to showing you how to trade stocks, not tell you what to buy. just pm me if interested if theres at least 2 ppl then i'll set it up.
