how do you even link a CC or anything to BTCE? all i see are the sketchy russian deposit methods etc this shit seems pointless unless there is a legit way to get the LTC into USD and withdrawl?

Krayzie135 04-07-2013 07:11 PM

I can sell you LTC @ $10/ea

If you don't trust a Russian currency exchange, go to another.

Japan based MtGox, which handles 80% of all BTC purchases, will add Litecoin soon. So you might want to wait and buy there... By then the price will be up though.

Smarter way would be to buy BTC at MtGox, and exchange it for LTC at the Russian exchange. But BTC is really expensive now

How much are you looking to purchase? If you want anything close to market rate, you are going to have to buy at an exchange. Otherwise you'll have to pay a lot ($10 or more)

Does Mtgox use any more common methods for deposits and withdraws like PayPal or visa transactions or are you always dealing with methods like the Russian ones?

Also if I was to buy BTC through mtgox are transactions instant or what's the delay like?

I invested into 100,000 DVCs. Maybe one day it will spike up :lol

Bought it last night at 0.00000215 (BTC/DVC). Random spikes throughout the day.

BTC went up $25 since I bought it yesterday as well.

do you just deal in bank transfers or what?

even the options through mtgox dont seem great but im asuming bank transfer would be most secure?

Razor Ramon HG 04-07-2013 08:23 PM

I'm overseas, so I have no means of doing a bank transfer/verifying my account right now.

I just bought BTCs in person, and had it deposited into my trading account.

Did market rates actually double over the six hours that past between these posts?

If not, you're a cunt.

Razor Ramon HG 04-07-2013 08:27 PM

Litecoin is about $4 USD each right now, and rising atm.

Bound to fall back down to somewhere in the low to mid $3s I'd say.

SkinnyPupp 04-07-2013 08:28 PM

Yup another way is locally

If you're going to buy BTCs, only buy in person or through bank transfer to somewhere like CaVirtex.

If buying in person, don't give them cash until you have 1 to 2 confirmations on each transfer.

Too easy to be scammed.

Hondaracer 04-07-2013 08:36 PM

interesting..

what is selling like though? as in getting actual USD in your bank as opposed to the BTC/LTC in your wallet? does MTGOX do bank transfers on withdrawls?

Not sure if MTG has withdrawals to Canadian bank accounts.

EDIT: LTC going places right now. Currently at $4.25. Bought some before the rise (pump?).

SkinnyPupp 04-07-2013 11:15 PM

CaVirtex is a Canadian site, it should do bank deposits

Be sure to report any earnings when you do your taxes!

after 2 days of mining.

I now have .03LTC :fuckthatshit:

not worth burning my computer out over

What was your hash rate? What hardware were you using?

CP.AR 04-08-2013 04:57 PM

Laptop with geforce gt540m
Hash rate averaging 19 or so khash

Gerbs 04-08-2013 06:26 PM

how do we check our hash rates

Also my GUIMiner says starting... does that mean its working or somethings wrong.

Anyone know if this is correct?

The program you are mining with should tell you as well as whatever pool you are with has stats

At that speed you will be lucky to mine 0.2LTC/day. Also difficulty increases 20% in about 30 min

Gerbs 04-08-2013 06:32 PM

On coinotron.com it says im at 0.0hash. Do i have to wait a day before it gives me a number or how does it work.

I think i wrote my name wrong. My username is joshua.li2 but the name is Cpu.

Do i put joshua.li2.Cpu or just Cpu

Edit: now i just have connections problems idk why :(

Presto 04-08-2013 06:57 PM

On Coinotron, under My Account, will be a section called workers. Whatever the name of a worker is your username. The password will be x. The passord will be x for any other workers your add. Stats are updated once or twice a minute. Your miner should show hash activity. Goal is to have shares accepted as fast as possible. If you get a lot of stales (5%+), then there's a problem.

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2013 07:28 PM

After trying different pools, this one gives me the most consistent hash rates with few orphans: GIVE ME LTC - A professional Litecoin Pool

Hondaracer 04-08-2013 07:33 PM

What's a safe temp to be operating the GPU at for extended periods of time?

Over a 6 hour farm session my 6950 temps at 100% stayed around 75 deg

Seems a little high to run all day long? I've got about $300 in noctua fans in it already :/
