Did anyone that went to the game meet any of the Team Canada Hockey Women? They were at the Molson Beer House taking pictures, I got there just as they were leaving to go on stage. :'( |

I hope he realizes that. It's not his fault whatsoever. The ever so crafty fans need to come up with a better chant. Something more straight toward, like Gillis go home! We want a team. Divorce the team. Perhaps some profound Italian quote that Aguaman would get. Fans are passionate when it comes to their hockey team. Much frustration. Hockey market is big here. I think the fans deserve more. Way more. Posted via RS Mobile |
Man... of the 2 decades I've been following Canucks, I don't think I've ever hit such a "rock-bottom" feeling before. Not even during the Messier era... Maybe I have the Olympics to blame, but heading into the Olympics, I mentioned it was the only thing I had to look forward to this season in terms of Hockey, but I never really meant it. But I completely forgot about the Wednesday game, I watched the end of the Minny game just cause it went into OT and SO, and I nearly forgot about this so-called "outdoor" game today, and only remembered because they were playing it on a restaurant TV when I was eating lunch. All I can do is just follow this thread for the updates... but it's been tough want to watch them any more. Quote:
I'm personally annoyed at the decision to start Lack today. As much as this was a "business decision" to start the "hotter" goalie, it was an absolute slap-in-the-face for Luongo, who was established to be the #1 goalie. Yes, this was just a "2-point" game, like any other of the 81 games in the season, but I guarantee this game held special value to the players individually, especially for Luongo, fwho was really looking forward to it when it was first announced. Now there's going to be an unnecessary shit-storm of drama and Luongo's mental state is going to be tested once again. I know he's a professional athlete, and he's getting paid a lot of money, but I don't buy it. He's still human with emotions, and I like to look at it as, he signed the contract to be a #1 goalie, with the money as bonus. After last seasons drama and broken promises, he was practically begged to come back and be #1 again. Sure, I'm just someone that makes a fraction of what these athletes get paid, I would easily flip it and take their spot as a bench-warmer and STFU with all the money. But if I was in their shoes, who dedicated my entire life to playing the game I love, working my ass off to become a professional, I sure as hell would want to PLAY. I can't speak for everyone else, but if I was a pro-athlete, the money would mean shit if I wasn't able to play the game I love, especially when I worked so hard to earn it. Their professionalism (in front of media) is to keep quiet about it, but it doesn't mean psychologically, their jimmies aren't going to be rustled. I don't think it's valid when people brush it off and just say, "Oh, you get paid X dollars, so suck it up". And now in hindsight, Torts doesn't look like a genius because Lu's pissed, and the team still pissed away 2 points running with the "hotter" goalie. |
The thing is, how else are you suppose to get the displeasure of starting Lack over Lu across? It HAS to be in person like what happened today, no one was booing lack because of play it was because of the decision. Then all these TSN and CBC clowns come out start saying how it was the wrong thing to do and classless by fans. How the fuck else are you going to get the message across? If you guys follow the Canucks on face book, literally every post out of like 300 I skimmed past was upset over the situation and saying how poorly Lu has been treated. I don't think I saw one message about "yea so excited for the game" it was literally 95% uproar over the goalie situation Hearing the fans in the stadium and getting national coverage is the only way to bring this clusterfuck of a situation to a forefront, talking here or on CDC would just be mocked as a stupid opinion Posted via RS Mobile |
They weren't saying "boo". They were saying "boo-urns". Posted via RS Mobile |

-- Apparently Gilman said today that he still believes in this core  Its official. Management is still living in 2011 and thinks this team is legit :lawl: #itsaprocess |
LOL, didn't they just try to flip Kesler for Sutter/Depres/picks? |

That was the rumored offer Pittsburgh proposed for Kesler |

I got annoyed when I saw all the line juggling. If Daniel Sedin gets injured. Daiz should have came up to the first to fill in for Daniel. Rather than mixing and matching the 2nd and 3rd lines. I was annoyed with fucking of lines. Daiz H. Sedin Burrows Higgins Kesler Hansen Booth Richardson Booth Sestito Schroeder ______ |
Raphael fuckin Diaz..........................a defenceman......................................on the first..............line.... yeah that'll surely help us score some goalz |

(and btw his team has only scored 4 goals over those 4 games as well) Biggest joke of all :fuckthatshit: |
Not much the goalies can do when the defense can't defend a 2-0 lead and offensive can't build on a 2-0 lead. And don't know how much blame Torts can get because whatever line he puts out doesn't respond. It's a complete and utter mass of a roster. |
Can I watch the replay anywhere Posted via RS Mobile |
Has the torts experiment failed yet? Or was blaming the coach last year's thing, and blaming the players is this years thing? Or are we blaming MG? Who are we blaming exactly? Its hard to keep up lol |

So yeah, it is hard to keep up... Just a matter of which problem surfaces up to the top during the week. |
