Ugh, they are not comparable in the remotest way.

I can't see how anyone can be upset about this - we get rid of that horrible contract, free up tons of cap space even if we retain some, get the third line centre we've been after forever (Matthias) as well as an amazing young goalie prospect. Markstrom was considered one of the best goalie prospects for a long time.

This is a really, really good trade imo - especially since we're in a retooling phase. I'm sad to see Lu go as well, but all things considered this is pretty great.

I was really pulling for Lu this season, after all the BS, he's been playing great, behind a sub-par team.

Well he's behind a real subpar team now
