If the Kesler trade went through, Edler would've been traded right after to the Bruins according to the Bruins.

But who knows...I read the same tweet kristianhay just posted about Edler not waiving his NTC.

Not sure why some of you are adverse to having Dougie Hamilton as a return for Edler or any other D man on the team (even though he likely wasn't part of the deal).

The Canucks are in a full rebuild mode, whether they want to admit it or not. Given the Canucks D is a point of strength on the team, getting a blue-chipper like Hamilton in return not only frees up cap space but removes one NTC from the team.

Yes I know Edler would likely veto any trade given the comments circulating. But had he been game to that deal, I can't see that being a bad deal for either team. Bruins are competing in the now for a(nother :() Cup. The Canucks, not so much.

The Bruins deal was either Ryan Spooner or Alexander Khoklachev and Matt Bartkowski to Vancouver for Edler. Spooner is a good fwd prospect, Bartkowski is useless IMO.

Sounds like Bruins and Canucks had the deal agreed to, but Gillis had to move Kesler first, Kesler wasn't moved so he never got back to Boston about Edler.

Ya Seguin would be a good trade. Trade the guy who carried the canucks thru the nashville series and still tried to get it done on one leg against boston... for the kid who got traded because he disappears in the playoffs. Altho he is having a hell of a season this year

I am hoping that everyone on RS does not buy Canucks game tickets, jerseys, or merchandise in order to send a message to Aquilini.

If people stop renewing their season ticket packages or buy tickets to single games, it will force ownership to seriously think about transforming team management in order to start on the long road to making this team a Cup contender again.

Does Aquaman really think that all Canucks fans are stupid sheep who will keep spending our hard earned money on tickets to watch a team has hit rock bottom?

are you that fucking stupid? do you realize there were no prospects for this team besides schnieder when gillis came. this is the effect of icing competitive teams for years. it was going to happen, im just glad gillis has some good prospects coming up so we never hit nyi or chi lows. you were spoiled with a good team, and now that the team has hit the time to rebuild you cry. fuck learn how sports leagues work
