Vancouver has the worst fans in the nhl. Yea... we care about hockey, and we are passioniate, but we are also high maintenance, stuck up, and un-supportive. We are the only team in the playoffs who goes dead silent when losing, and boo's our own team instead of cheering like crazy to try to swing momentum if its not going their way.

Kesler allegedly requested a trade out of Vancouver.

Edler decided to go full-retard with his play over the last 2 years.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the fans for their drop in play/status. There are a lot of things that the Vancouver fans do really shitty. Kesler and Edler dropping the ball aren't the fans' fault.

I'm pretty damn confident they will find their game. Sedins may not be the art ross contending players anymore. I'm sure they will be a point a game players.

The way these guys train, I don't think their production should fall off that far.

Most shocking part is the Canucks are still in the playoff mix.

And lets remember this team had a epic December so this roster is capable of winning games, what happen in the new year is still a puzzle to me. Some say it's the system Torts is making this team play which isn't working but who knows.

Because Danny is on IR.

Edit: Dang ninja'd again.

TPMarko 03-05-2014 02:29 PM

probably because daniel isn't playing? don't remember if he still has the A or not.

Not really racist! 03-05-2014 02:34 PM

claims to watch all Canucks games

doesn't realize Kes got stripped of his A

I think we should look at the 2015 draft. It will be the most important draft of this decade.

If we could unload some of our 2014 picks and some of our defensive core, and load up for the 2015 draft, I will be a happy Canucks fan

rice cooker 03-05-2014 02:50 PM

its obv this group cant play torts' style, hes bringing everybody down. hes also good at alienating all his stars. look at nash, richards gaborik and now louongo. total disrespect

I don't think MG is in the business of dispatching proven NHL defencemen for just picks in a supposedly deep draft. Would you rather leave the future of the Canucks to our inept scouting staff?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no you don't.

Do you even know who is in this draft year?

weak draft

why embarrass ourselves getting beat in the playoffs 4-0, if we make it.

m3thods 03-05-2014 03:00 PM

I know who the top picks are in 2014/2015 drafts. Do you know who's in picks 15-30 of those drafts? Because I don't. And that's where the Canucks will end up picking. If we don't make the playoffs this year, we're in the lottery. But cue the "everyone is against Vancouver" chatter because heaven-forbid Gary allows the Canucks to get a top 5 pick this year.

If you're implying that the Canucks should try and get a top 5 pick in the 2015 draft, I'm not sure the Canucks have any assets aside from Kesler that will get that. And you're relying that the other bottom-feeder GMs are willing to let go of such a desired pick, according to the proposed weight you're putting on those picks.

Two goalies who are both proving to be good starters in Bernier and Reimer, putting up decent #s (in some cases top half of the league over the last 2 seasons). They do this while the team infront of them gets outshot nearly every game, forcing them to face 30+ shots a night. And somehow you believe the Leafs goaltenfing isn't strong or on par with those other teams? Yeah okay...

I going to go out on a limb and say very little people know about a teen who will be the next franchise player of the team that picks him.

I am only interested in one player. Connor McDavid!

The Canucks won't get the first overall pick ever. Because ownership will never allow it. And management will, at worst, dabble in mediocrity and avoid a tank at all costs.

If you're looking for MG to offload 2014 picks and some of the defence for a chance at the number 1 pick in 2015, you're dreaming.

FS1992EG 03-05-2014 03:10 PM

Dreaming is apart of life...If you give up on your dreams, wtf is the point?

Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Chicago were all shitty teams before they had there picks in the 1-5 1st rounds.

I think you're missing my point. As much as I'd love Vancouver to just tank the fuck out of the 2014 season, it's not going to happen. Ownership will not let it happen. And with that in mind, management will be managing the team to mediocrity just so they don't finish last.

I am looking for management to look at that draft and make deals to aquire a higher draft position.

Playing like shit doesn't make our players highly valuable. It decreases their value.
