The oilers are a fucking joke. No vets no win.

Renthal 03-30-2014 06:19 PM

no kane no toews no cup

nah 03-30-2014 10:27 PM

Wouldn't surprise me if Toews has a concussion on that hit.

Ronin 03-31-2014 01:08 AM

I would say he has the puck and he had his head down but wouldn't you say the head is the principle point of contact? Orpik leaves his feet as a result of the impact but looks like a questionable hit at best.

What do you guys think of the Blues? Are they real deal to win the cup this season?

Mike Oxbig 03-31-2014 02:38 PM

I think SJ are legit contenders coming out from the west. Blues look like pretenders to me. It really depends who the Blues, Kings, and Sharks play. If both of these teams play the one who isnt playing may move on to the conference finals.

Ch28 03-31-2014 03:17 PM

Doesn't matter who comes out of the West, because my Bruins & Rask will destroy them in the finals

I'm leaning more towards the Kings as been legit contenders.

Wouldn't surprise me the least bit to see St. Louis come out of the West. They've been 9-4 since acquiring Miller, and they have a great d group. Their forwards play hard, finish checks, and have no issues playing in the dirty areas. They're basically made for playoff hockey. Their backup goaltender (Elliot) has put up spectacular numbers and is easily capable of stepping in should Miller get injured or falter down the stretch.

Mike Oxbig 03-31-2014 04:02 PM

I think SJ deserves it in the west but the Kings plays real canadian hockey

m3thods 03-31-2014 04:05 PM

I think with Miller now between the pipes it'll be between SJ and STL. SJ looks like it has the right mix of players, and Niemi can steal games left and right. STL has the team but I always questioned their goaltending. Now with a motivated Miller back there, they'll be very tough to beat in a very tough conference.

If Boston doesn't make it to the Finals again, it'll be because of catastrophic injury, or some other reason that points to them as the cause. No one in the east looks to be close. The only caveat I'll give is if Boston plays Montreal somewhere. For some reason it looks like Montreal has their number. It's mind-bottling considering the two rosters (especially with Montreal). But sometimes it just works out that way.

Mike Oxbig 03-31-2014 04:10 PM

Yeah how does Montreal always come up with big wins against the Bruins with a small team like that?

Heart & determination. Something the Canucks have lacked for years, but was masked by the talent we had.
