Seriously, why are you people cheering? The Canucks winning right now is about the fucking stupidest thing they could do.

Why is that? Are we going to miss out on the next Crosby? Outside of the top 4, who aren't even that good relative to other draft years, the rest of the first round isn't anything to get excited about. If we lose every game, we won't get a top 4 pick.

I'll cheer for the Canucks all I want. If you don't want to, that's your prerogative, but don't come in here and tell me what to do and how to feel.

Point is we're pissing away value for nothing. Maybe this year's draft is thin but a higher pick is always better than a lower pick. Maybe not the way the Canucks pick but still.

We don't even need to pick. A higher draft pick is worth more in trade value. We gain nothing by winning right now unless you guys seriously think we can make the playoffs. Odds are 50-to-1 right now that the Canucks make it into the 8th spot.

Booth will still be bought out. 2 goals in a game isn't enough to make up for two years of uselessness.

out of curiosity (might be a dumb q), but do any teams actually tank in hockey? Giving up is different..
