My 2 cents: the 43 is all around more fun, 63 makes nice noise.
Both have terrible transmissions and the 63 has especially terrible power delivery.

C63 dynamics/steering are so shit that it makes a Challenger feel like it has balance.
Car and Driver says the Challenger stops better, MotorTrend says it does figure 8 faster.

Personally, E63 is the top preference, followed by C43 and C63 last.
The E gets more tire and the shit steering/dynamics are more forgivable with a better comfort/interior.

While we're on this topic, what's with people putting their email address in their signature?

You sent me this email! Whytf wouldn't I already know your email address?!

68style 04-26-2025 09:36 PM

^ sometimes people send through a proxy or lists that it doesn’t show up as from them directly, so they might want to put it in their signature line if people wish to direct contact.

underscore 04-27-2025 08:31 AM

Do people actually read email signatures? Lots of people misspell my name even when they're replying to something I sent them that has it in the From box and my signature.

trollface 04-27-2025 08:40 AM

I misspell names on ppl's orders all the time.

We just put the license plate number at the drive-through, it's easier. Sometimes ppl get hella offended if you get it wong.

While RabitRat is on that topic, does anyone know why people put she/her, they/them into their signature at work?

My understanding is it's so that people who aren't using "conventional" (for lack of a better word) pronouns don't stand out so much.

noclue 04-27-2025 12:57 PM

What about putting on an email signature your university degree and unceded territory

Some companies require or "encourage" people to list their preferred pronouns whether they are LGBTQ or not.

Thank god I work for a QC company and not BC company lol. The land acknowledgements for every event are driving me nuts but it's especially irrelevant/insignificant at press conferences like of the recent mass casualty event

Badhobz 04-28-2025 09:10 AM

you find me a fucking red man in a professional event thats not there as some sort of a glorified token, and ill go smoke some salmon with him and do a rain dance.

I really dont get it. These guys have all the advantages in the world and yet most of them are living on the res and yelling at whiteys while drive around in a jalopy. if you gave a chinaman or a punjab those benefits you would have created a fleet of doctors/lawyers all popping out of the woodworks.

^^ your people knows

The Chinese idiom "烂泥扶不上墙" (làn ní fú bù shàng qiáng) translates literally to "rotten mud cannot support a wall." It is used metaphorically to describe a person or situation that is beyond help or improvement, implying that no matter how much effort is put into assisting someone or something that is fundamentally flawed or incapable, it will not yield positive results. Essentially, it conveys a sense of futility in trying to uplift someone who is not willing or able to change.

It's like the Nissan cvts of the world, little bit of alcohol, you die, little bit of drugs, you die, Corona coughs on you, you die

You don't notice the successful ones because they blend in. I have had the opportunity to work with the ones that have "made it out" and used their benefits successfully to give themselves a leg up out of the situation their parents were in, and they are some of the most hardworking people you'll see.

It just takes a lot of drive and ambition to overcome the generational malaise/trauma that a lot of FN find themselves in.

I think you're slightly underestimating how fucked up the residential school system was.
