Not really, from Japan and free bore score

Badhobz 05-10-2025 08:40 AM

And it’s automatic…. I got a feeling it’s not a pdk unit, but the older tiptronic ones.

red kryptonite 05-10-2025 08:44 AM

how can you tell its a japanese import?

JDMDreams 05-10-2025 08:57 AM

That Guy only sells JDM imports, look at his other listings, the picture of the cluster, the seat belt message is in Japanese, it has weird aftermarket deck, gps stuck to the dash on the left.

JDMDreams 05-10-2025 09:16 AM

I've never driven a beetle but are they worth the premium? These avg spec is like what 300hp on a not that light car. For $40000 you can easily get into more exciting 4-500hp cars. And won't be left in the dust at a light from a Camry.

RevYouUp 05-10-2025 09:21 AM

It’s all about joining the Porsche club for status Kappa

bcrdukes 05-10-2025 09:31 AM

Porsche sucks and are overrated. They should not even exist.

There isn't many redeeming qualities on that car since it's not PDK. The wheels look like it came off a Boxster.

?? Did badhobz hack your account?

Wait, that’s far too nice of a thing for him to say about Porsche…

Don't forget the "plus $1988 prep fee , plus $695 Documentation Fee - $995 Finance Fee"

Yikes

noclue 05-15-2025 07:44 PM

The dealer fees have gotten outta control since covid and some dealers still think its 2021. Picked up an iX and they tried to charge a $150 fuel fee for an EV. Same goes for prep fees, isnt that part of the freight and PDI? We’re in a digital age and still charging an inflated $700 document fee.

This is why tesla buying experience reign supreme.

westopher 05-15-2025 08:06 PM

Except you end up with a Tesla.

The iX is the most beautiful expression of bmw pig nose design to match my pig nose m4 lmao

I wanted a newer, fancy EV before the no pst went away.
1. Considered taycan cross turismo but it’s too low to the ground and im making the old man noises getting in n out. The iX is just right, not as high as an X5 and not as low as the taycan. Plus taycan questionable reliability and porsche service prices wasnt a fan of.
2. Build quality is fantastic. Yes the exterior looks are… subjective but the interior is A+. Sunroof is electrochroamatic like a boeing 787 window, body made of carbon you can see when you open the door, zoom zoom noises composed by hans zimmer with one of the best sound system in a car I’ve experienced. Car & driver tested the iX noise level and its only 2db louder than a rolls royce cullinan, which is amazing cause the iX uses single pane windows. The greatest scam or marketing is how tesla convinced the masses their cars are luxury when you compare build quality. However tesla software and app is still #1.
3. Range is really good. BMW understates the range and I can go whistler and back or seattle and back on one charge with plenty to spare. Im excited to see bmw’s nextgen EV tech in the ix5.

donk. 05-15-2025 10:31 PM

bcrdukes 05-16-2025 05:36 AM

I love the pig nose design! Congrats, noclue! :)

Please bring it to the next Stock & Noob Meet tentative late September. Make sure you park beside Badhobz Porsche.

Badhobz 05-16-2025 05:55 AM

ultimate geezer move - buy the car you hate out of spite or practicality.

I HATE IT SO MUCH ! let me buy it right now.

What I felt as well after test driving it.

It really is a very well designed car if you don't mind the exterior, there's nothing like it in terms of interior and the airiness it provides.

I wouldn't hold your hopes up with the iX5 if they assemble it in Spartanburg. I love our X5, but damn the build quality is atrocious. The iX is made in Europe so it's not at the same level.
