Lightly modded 2009 Miata - lowered, has roll bar, low mileage for $16,500. Love the tan top and interior.

2018 LC 500 coupe in white, for 73k. Big caveat, he had a 60,000 dollar accident on this thing. But note, those CFRP doors are like 20k each, and the trunk lid is like 10k as well so 60k is easily achieved.

Plus hes open to offers, so if you get it for i dont know.... 60k, thats a pretty solid deal for a lc500.

25 for a high mileage SMG vert seems pretty high..

Badhobz 09-24-2025 07:34 AM

its pretty clean though and cant you swap out the SMG pretty easily?

EvoFire 09-24-2025 07:54 AM

It's 6-10k for the swap, by no means a cheap swap and I'm not sure it's worth it on a 170k example.

westopher 09-24-2025 07:58 AM

No way the swap costs that much. You could do it for like sub 3k. Still not worth it on that car though imo.

JDMDreams 09-24-2025 09:29 AM

It's a matter of when, the SMG pump is eventually gonna fail

Maybe as a DIY project it's possible but I recall my mechanic saying minimum is around $5-6k and then there's a lot of 'while you're in there' type things that can lead to massive scope creep (eg. clutch, flywheel, shifter, etc)

EvoFire 09-24-2025 12:33 PM

I was quoted 5-6k by a BMW mechanic during covid, there's actually a lot of parts that needs to be ordered, and I said 6-10k because it could only have gone up from then.

You can probably get away for less if you do your own work. I have hands of stone and cannot do anything without breaking stuff. Also a 200k car you're bound to find seized bolts and all manner of things that need replacing as you dig in.

whitev70r 09-24-2025 12:40 PM

Maybe this one is better ... slightly higher kms at 191K kms, true manual (saves you the hassle of a $5K conversion), same price.

Im on the LC clublexus forums and this guy just posted this. seems pretty clean.. 46k USD = 64k canadian + taxes fees and shit i thinking around 75k? is that a good deal? meh not really i guess.. but still cheaper than any LC around here. Although 2018 is the worst one to get... you dont even have apple car play / android auto. It has to be retrofitted through a software update, and it occasionally causes the whole thing to brick... then you gotta shell out 10k for a new ECU. Also 2018 has the harshest suspension and probably the worst gearbox programming. They've revised the suspension tuning and gearbox software every year, but the consensus is that anything past 2021 is pretty good while having the balance between firmness and comfort for the suspension and smooth shifts.

Edit: SOMEBODY GO BUY A FUCKING LC !!!! why am I the only idiot on RS with one? ...... oh...

JDMDreams 09-29-2025 12:23 PM

I wants but economy doesn't seem so hot, boc dragging their feet, bunch of people got laid off at work and I don't want to blow my cash that can be invested in this market. FeelsBadMan

Badhobz 09-29-2025 01:03 PM

thats poor people talk! go blow your money you idiot! thats why we are in a recession, if you keep hoarding up your cash, the economy stalls out, nobody buys, and we all get poorer in general.

DO THE RIGHT THING! be a man

This seems like a good deal
RL with factory A-Spec pkg, 171K, $4000

JDMDreams 10-02-2025 09:53 AM

I wouldn't buy from Mandeep, interior trashed, AC dead, that's a few thousand already, and do the transmission also explode on these ones

Gerbs 10-02-2025 11:22 AM

i really want a LC, maybe when it hits sub $70-80K for a 2021+

Badhobz 10-02-2025 11:41 AM

^if you dont mind looking in the states, there are some getting close to that range in the US, but after importation and what not, it might be a huge headache.

Locally these damn things are holding their value insanely well.

Gerbs 10-02-2025 03:31 PM

I don't think states can import that easily b efore the 15 year rule

bcrdukes 10-02-2025 03:40 PM

Lexus/Toyota make it easy to import. Perform necessary recalls, get a recall letter from Toyota/Lexus, and work with a broker/transport company to haul it through. Make the necessary modifications to meet RIV/safety requirements, Canadian Tire check, and insure. European marques make life a lot more difficult.

Having said all that, after currency conversion and everything, you have to be really sure this is the car you absolutely must have.
