Fwiw, I exported my BMW from the US to Canada last year and what this generated was sufficient (YMMV): just enter your VIN and it confirms how many (if any) recalls are open.

Super easy, our standards are homogenous nowadays, zero issue eligibility wise.

The 18.1% of taxes and duties for a foreign made vehicle in addition to the shit exchange rate will cripple anything you thought was a deal though.

$70,000 USD car = $98,000 CAD x 1.181 taxes = $115,738... call it $116,000 with the Broker fees / AC levy / inspection fee. Ouch.

Badhobz 10-02-2025 07:53 PM

holy shit! 18% taxes + exchange rate!? well there goes any hope of importing a cheap LC for gerbs.

JDMDreams 10-02-2025 08:27 PM

Isn't it also taxed with luxury tax since it's over $50000?

you are one of the few people that I know, who still scour CL for good buys. But maybe because you are, you're able to find the hidden gems. Most people put up with the crappy search functions on FB Marketplace. I actually preferred CL!

bcrdukes 10-06-2025 02:39 PM

C'mon guys.

AutoTempest.com

It will scour everything for you, including FB marketplace!

underscore 10-06-2025 03:41 PM

Baby blue metallic on chrome wheels is certainly a choice. I think there's a good reason that colour is rare.

I hate fecesbook. Hate it. With a passion. I don’t even have a fecesbook account, I just steal my moms.

red kryptonite 10-06-2025 04:14 PM

Fb is great if you’re the one buying. God forbid you if you want to sell anything.

AstulzerRZD 10-06-2025 04:16 PM

I messaged that 996 owner. If it’s also FMVSS compliant, a buddy will drive it to New York for me

headhunt3r 10-06-2025 10:36 PM

Hi buddy

here, somebody go lease takeover my hitlerbox. Im probably gonna buy a sienna van or that VW van for lawls. I did the first oil change at 1000kms, and the 2nd one at 6000kms.

AstulzerRZD 10-07-2025 11:28 AM

wtf Sienna ?? U like hearing that shit hybrid engine?

JDMDreams 10-07-2025 11:41 AM

Wot, can't you just return it and lease the Hitler van? I'm sure they are desperate to get rid of them and a GTI is an easier sell

Badhobz 10-07-2025 12:02 PM

probably... but i dont know if i like that EV shit. Im looking forward to that sienna with a fridge and a vacuum so i can attach it to my dick.

AstulzerRZD 10-07-2025 12:20 PM

yeah fridge box is nice, I stick coolers in the Lightning frunks.
also haven't driven ID Buzz yet.

what's the biggest concern with EV stuff? is it durability, charging, etc

unless VW bends over to sell you a Buzz (they actually might) moving a lease this way is tough. at least layout all the pertinent info - you'll need it all to post it on leasebusters anyways.

if it was me i'd get todays buyout number (including all the fees) and post it for sale.

it never would be me though - leasing a car is :heckno:

Badhobz 10-07-2025 02:13 PM

^its not at all, i already got 2 offers. meeting a guy this weekend, hes stoked to take it over.
