hopefully silencer box is still in there as its unique to the type R: AUTOPEDIA: 1997 Acura Integra Type R Air Intake if I remember correctly, the intake housing box should be the same, but the intake arm should be different when it comes to oem as the GSR used a unique two stage manifold, and the ITR used a short runner, B16A style intake manifold. A nice touch for resto mod will be a black Samco Intake arm. will work great, looks stock and has smoother airflow than stock arm. and its back for the millionth time: https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/nvn/...529580846.html this guy needs to make up his mind. |
Been sitting since Sept. Wheels are filthy, I will be having them refinished to OEM kaeser grey. http://i68.tinypic.com/2ug05q8.jpg |
Noob car storage question: Is it safe to leave the trickle charger connected to the battery while the posts are still connected? I typically will remove the battery instead. |
Tofu is correct. The air inlet tube is ITR specific. Mine had a GSR OEM air intake and the tube to throttle body opening is larger on the ITR. Mine had a blue silicone reducer to make it fit. Previous owner had a GSR prior and installed a green lit GSR CD player. Lucky I got the OEM intake and amber CD player from an OG ITR owner in Vancouver. I hope you have those metal tubes connecting the intake to valve cover etc as they are discontinued. You can still order the air inlet tube and air box brand new. So recently my oil dipstick tube came loose. Noticed after a day of autox. Cleaned it up and reinstalled with a slight squeeze of the tube to make it oblong and permatex ultra grey. Thanks jasonturbo for the advice. I also installed a new oil dipstick ($28 after tax) as mine was severely corroded and missing the orange wrap at the top. https://i.imgur.com/u3WRggT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9kC4UQF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Z75XzFT.jpg |
Expresso: Yes you can store and trickle charge with battery connected. I have done it on a variety of cars for years. |

^ Wow that seems like a good deal if the body is in excellent condition with no rust. Would be nice if they posted the badge # number. Many ITR either need motor rebuild, a paint job or both. Mine has a similar history and needs paint. As you can imagine that won't be cheap. |
