Ah gotcha. It was my first time in the new CTR. Pretty much all I have to say about it is... 1. Those seats are amazing, but a little tight for my 200lbs 2. Visibility is non existent 3. It feels WAY more special than my focus RS. Everything from the looks, the driving position, the general interior design, the use of faux-carbon fibre etc. Everything adds up to just feeling more special |
Too bad about #2, visibility is very important. New CTR took a long time to get use to, but now it grew on me. But i'll wait to see if the RSX-R is for real. |
How was visibility bad? |

I mean it’s no Lamborghini countach if course. But I drive ~30 different cars a day so it’s pretty easy to tell what cars do and don’t have good visibility |
I’m trying to convince my fiancé to get one in white, but she doesn’t like how it looks. I’m just trying to tell her “but it’s a civic! It will be reliable and easily fit baby seats in the back” lol. Oh well... https://farm1.staticflickr.com/954/4...25db2540_z.jpg Generated from my Apple iPhone using tools.rackonly.com |
My gf doesn't like it because of the wing. Honda should've gave wing options. |
I pick my CTR up this weekend. I can’t wait! |

it looks stupid. and those 20" wheels..... |
I really want to start liking the FK8 but it's still kinda awkward looking for me. I hope I can start liking it at some point. On a side note, has anyone seen the new Desmond EVOII wheel? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! First batch is aimed at the FK8(18x9.5) but there are 15" and 16" options in the works. Matt at ICB bought the rights to Desmond and has Tanseyia in Japan produce them. Even the original EVO designer back when they were manufactured in Russia is assisting with this process. Most likely my favorite wheel of all time so this is exciting news. Spoon Sports also sought the help of Tanseyia for their resurgence of their infamous SW388 but the wheel looks like shit and it weighs more so using the moniker SW388 is kind of a joke. |

I had the CTR for a week and not once did I think the rear visibility was bad. The wing is high enough that I don’t see it looking backwards. Maybe this is from my previous cars but I didn’t find the seat that low. |
I’m 5’11”. I drive with the Recaro in the RS all the way down, though it’s still somewhat a tall seating position (the European Recaro is the bane of all car reviews across the pond). So naturally I’m used to just being higher up most likely, also in the RS the rear hatch is more vertical and the rear wing is above the window. Feel free to swap keys with me anytime and I’d love to give it another chance :drunk: |

The Visibility is the same as a regular civic. ? My wife drives it more than me and she is fine with it I had to swap out the brembo pads because my wife does not like the 'race squeel' .. |
https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...583958144.html Back up for sale again, crazy to keep putting money into this R when you know your going to sell it. Definitely has some sweet parts, id consider it for 30k |
Congrats to the new owner of 97-0391! This R is headed back to Vancouver after spending a decade on Vancouver island. https://i.imgur.com/mibxEat.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4LXKnph.jpg |

The type-R does sit lower for sure, but I feel it's no way as low as some others that I've sat in previously. My personal vehicle was an 07 Accord Coupe with Bride Zeta III.... so for me anyways I'm used to it. |
Those Titan wheels are so nice, saw the 10 spokes on a s2k and wow. The local CTR owners have been awesome. Feels like a community again, like back in 2000 with the ITR owners lol |
