I tried the Ghost Pepper Chips that I purchased yesterday. Not bad. I like it, because it's hot enough for me. Just the right amount of zing, although it takes a bit of time to take effect. We should arrange a TJ mini meet. We all bring something that we bought from Trader Joe's. |
buddy bought me some of thoise trader joes ghost peper chips and they dont even phase me :fuckthatshit: reminds of when Wendys was offering that ghost pepper fries and burger. man no spice whasotever soever. still good doe im huge fan of the trader joes haberno hot sauce http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/v...psd58ba978.jpg pretty much get this and the jasmine/green tea bags everytime I go there also a huge fan fo that bacon ranch chip dip thing |
At TJ right now and...........they're BAAAAACK!!!!!!!! Triple Ginger Brew, that is. |
Okay, another thing to add to the favourites list. Trader Joe's Ginger Stir-In Paste. If you love ginger, this thing is a must have. Fresh ginger - product of France. https://www.flickr.com/photos/theimp...uy/29332446693 I bought it two weeks ago and it sat in the pantry until today........ yakiniku with onions. My favourite quick dish. Thinly sliced Rib Eye Beef from Kims Mart on Broadway. Seared with garlic at first. Yum! I put the ginger paste in soy sauce and mirin to make a custom niku tare (heavy on the ginger). The paste was affordable. Cannot remember exact price, but cheap enough. |
A few more things I've tried in the past few weeks...... Turkey and Stuffing Seasoned Kettle Chips. Not overpowering - just the way I like it. TJ's 21 Seasoning Salute. It's awesome stuff for something that is a salt-free blend. TJ's Chicken Flavor Savory Broth - concentrated. They come in a box of 12 liquid pouches. Each pouch equals 12 cups of chicken broth. TJ's Creamy Corn and Roasted Pepper Soup. Not to be confused with their Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup. I tried a sampling of their Corn Soup a few weeks ago. A recipe only the folks at the Bellingham location makes. All the needed ingredients are at TJ. The recipe is easy. It's a 1-1-1-1 ratio, with the exception being the 21 seasoning salute. Canned white chicken breast (I used the Costco ones - just as good). Bag of Frozen Roasted Corn (I used Costco Organic Corn) One packet of Savory Chicken Broth Creamy Corn and Roasted Pepper Soup (in tetra pack). 21 Seasoning Salute (to suit) The corn soup is amazing - almost as good as Chinese corn soup and really easy to make. TJ's Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix - I hate pumpkin, so I thought. I love it now, lol. Oh, if you have empty bottles of TJ's Triple Ginger Brew, keep them. They're great at keeping things from getting flat. I love Ikea Pear Juice. I take a few sips each day and nurse it over a week. Only problem is, the shit comes in a can, so it gets flat in a couple of days. I pour the juice into the locking bottle and voila, the juice keeps its bubliness........ sort of. I guess I can get a carbonator or a proper cap, but this is much more fun. |
Forgot to mention this the last time I was at TJ's.......... Spoiler! |
Went today and purchased a Montezuma's Absolute Black chocolate bar. This is the ultimate in chocolate. So much so, it borders on disgusting. I took one bite and just about spit it out, but then I got used to it. It's definitely not your regular chocolate bar. I got the one with cacao nibs in it. Montezuma's adds to 100% cocoa Absolute Black chocolate range |
Gyeh, I don't know how you can eat that :Puke: I tried 85% (I have it for when the furred ones get respiratory issues) and immediately spat it out and drank an entire can of zero to get the taste out of my mouth. So gross... you are brave sir! |
^ made in the UK........... isn't that where haggis comes from? Close enough. |
Bumping this thread......... Went today and saw this. https://www.traderjoes.com/digin/pos...i-rice-nuggets Made in Japan for Trader Joe's. Too bad they didn't label it Trader Tojo's, like their Trader Ming's, or Trader Giotto's. They could have used Trader Joe-San, like on some of their Japanese food items. They have similar items at Fujiya, but put the Trader Joe's brand name on the packaging and it's gold! |
Cold Brew Coffee and dark chocolate with caramel filling. Kept in fridge............ soooo good. The espresso powder and ground coffee bean coating on the chocolate bar is a nice touch. The dark chocolate is not as strong as the Montezuma...... just right. When the caramel and cold brew coffee flavours blend in with the dark chocolate in yo mouth, it is amazing. I bought this about a month ago and it has been sitting in the fridge till now. Hopefully, it's not one of their seasonal items or a one time offering. What's Good at Trader Joe's?: Trader Joe's Cold Brew Coffee Chocolate Bar |
every time im down to trader joes always have to get those hot pepper chips addicted to them |
the ghost pepper ones? yeah they're good |
Ladies and gentlemen, I present you, the most fucking evil thing at TJ's. These are placed right by the cashier, god-forbiddingly good and the evil part? .99 a pack. :fuckthatshit: https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media...ie23b81dww.png |

If anyone is looking for a great selection of hot sauces then check out Delaurenti inside Pike Place Market and El Mercado Latino on Post Alley right by Jack's Fish Spot. Delaurenti had a little nook with shelves of hot sauces and El Mercado Latino had an entire wall of them. I highly recommend the Queen Majesty, Secret Aardvark, and Home Boys line. |
Went to LA last month and stopped by Trader Joes for these: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....CL._SY450_.jpg https://www.traderjoes.com/TJ_CMS_Co...inger-brew.jpg Went down to Bellingham this weekend and brought some more back. They're so addictive! |
Anyone seen the Smoked Ghost Chili grinder? I bought one back in January, ran out in July and I haven't been able to find it since. https://us.v-cdn.net/5017260/uploads...y7wixtjjtl.jpg |
^ I just came back from Bellingham yesterday. Didn't see it in the spice area. Bumping for some turkey. They were giving some samples of crackers, cheese, and what I thought was normal pork sausage. My wife goes and grabs one and tries to give me the sausage. I'm thinking it's probably just regular sausage so I pass. She insists so I eat it. I'm pleasantly surprised! I ask the sample lady where I can find the package. I look at it: http://www.traderjoesreviews.com/wp-...ge-300x169.jpg It ends up being TURKEY! Now I don't have to feel so guilty frying these up for breakfast or throwing them into a quick charcouterie in a pinch. Another "grab whenever I'm down there" item for me. |
I went today, should have checked in. I was too busy at Silver Reef, lol. Did bring back a lot of TJ stuff that was on their voted best of 2017 list. Damn, next week. |

Nothing to write home about. It's not bad, but I wouldn't go back to get some more. Way too many other things to try out. How the heck do they keep up with so many new items? One day, I'm going to take a cooler, get some dry ice from WinCo and get some of TJ's frozen delights. I go to the casinos while I'm down there, so frozen things usually thaw out by the time I get home. I guess I can go to the casinos first, but then hot seat draws.......... lol. |
^ You, sir, know how to live |
You know what they say........................ YODO You only die once. I'm still trying to get a hold of Matlock DVD set. Binge watching. LOL. Because, that's all us old folk do. |
Trader Joe's is opening a store in Blaine beside Edaleen Dairy!!! |
