Let's face it murd0c, everyone will win a cup before we do.

spoon.ek9 04-18-2017 03:08 PM

unfortunate but true

murd0c 04-18-2017 03:21 PM

Sadly I agree

68style 04-18-2017 03:22 PM

After game 7 in 1994 at 16 years old I said "oh well they'll definitely win before I die!"

Aftern 2011, now at 33 years old I said, with a tremble in my voice, "they gotta win before I die right? I mean... come on... *nervous laugh*"...........

So, yah. Here we are... I'm not about to die but... :alone:

Spoon 04-18-2017 03:35 PM

No Canadian team's even touched the cup since 94. At least we've been to the finals twice. :QQ:

The sight of this makes me sick to my stomach. It's a good thing that EA doesn't get it right often.....

Kadri has higher potential than Matthews, Marner, and Nylander in NHL 17. I think it's fair to say EA never gets it right.

As long as we win the Cup before TO wins another, then I'm good.

And I'm also hoping to witness our Cup win - before my expiry date :)

dapperfied 04-18-2017 06:34 PM

Sharks tear Oilers a new asshole.

RCubed 04-18-2017 07:45 PM

:okay:

Jmac 04-18-2017 07:47 PM

I'm 99% sure Edmonton will just concede the remaining games after this.

AzNightmare 04-18-2017 07:49 PM

Sharks PP finally woke up.

Now I'm just waiting for Blackhawks to wake the fuck up too.

Does it feel as good as the last time the Canucks won the cup?

spoon.ek9 04-18-2017 08:47 PM

I was gonna say, when did the Oilers become the Canucks? :fuckthatshit:

That doesn't make sense, you can't make a comparison to something that never happened. :troll:

Try 1993 with the Habs beating out Gretzky and the Kings.
We've almost won it a few times since then. In 94' the Canucks were in the finals beat by the Rangers. 2004 had the Flames beat by Torts and the Lightning, 2006 was the Oilers losing the the fxxking Canes?!? 2007' was when the Senators lost to the Ducks. Most recently was 2011 with the Canucks again, losing to the dirty Bruins.

Funny that the Canucks have come the closest since Bettman took over. Twice. That's a nice stat to curl up next to in the middle of team tank.....

In 1915 Vancouver Millionaires were the Stanley Cup winners. The team roster is actually engraved on the original ring of the cup. But it's not recognized because the NHL didn't become a league until the 1917 season.

Same cup, different league.

:(

highfive 04-19-2017 02:26 PM

So seems like bo is not on team Canada for worlds?

Sean couturier made it over him?

6o4__boi 04-19-2017 02:34 PM

I think I read somewhere that Bo was called and he declined as he does not have a contract yet.

Discussions haven't started either and probably won't start until the playoffs are done.

Interesting rumours out of Buffalo too, apparently Eichel saying that he won't re-sign if Bylsma is still coach. He's an RFA in 2018. I'd imagine he's looking at at least a $6-$7M contract...which costs a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd iirc,...totally worth it for a player of his calibre. It'd be interesting if this rumour actually has some legs to it.

Jmac 04-19-2017 03:24 PM

Buffalo would match in a heartbeat.
