Is there ANYBODY besides the Aqulini's who want EK on the Canucks? I haven't come across one mention from the media or fans that they want EK.

I want EK on the team. Maybe not for JV but say Sbisa plus B level prospect or 2nd/3rd pick?

I hope to god they don't make a move for him. The guy hit 57pts back in 2011-12 season. Since then, the highest its total he has achieved was 41pts in 2013-14. This isn't exactly a body of work that says "look out this kid can potentially add some serious offence"

If we were to do a trade with Buffalo, why not go after a guy like Sam Reinhart. The kid can play centre and wing. Is super talented and fits into the "getting younger" movement the Canucks are trying to promulgate.

That said, I'm trying to figure out is he's more like a lesser skilled Marchand, or a more skilled Raffi Torres.

It was nothing more than a bit of stick work in the dying minutes of a tied game. Most refs would have let it go at that point in the game, as they should.

But Shaw isn't the most popular player in the league, so if anyone gets called late in the game it's going to be him.

That was too obvious of a hook to not call it. I've seen more subtle things let go, but for something like that where Shaw turns his hands right over, it basically says "yeah, i'm hooking the shit out of you."
