Expansion is not permanent, if you give up the subscription you lose access to the island (but you keep your items).

And I don't think the games included are worth the cost.

Nintendo is charging way too much for what they offer right now. Even the yearly sub cost is extremely questionable at $24 bucks (if you don't do a family plan) when PSN is like $40 on sale and gives you way more features and freebies.

Did you have to add it on the primary account then? Even though I’m logged in under the “family” account it seems like I need my nephew to enable it, I have no option as the secondary account

yes have to be the account holder.
I think in your case it might be better to let the sub expire then start new on your account as the primary and invite your nephew into the family sub, if you are the one always paying for it.

Also use nintendo gc from costco to save a couple of bucks.

Picked up a digital copy of BOTW to replay.

Ended up being $35 after taxes.

Redeeming it also gave me 400 Nintendo coins, so it's kind of like $31.

i tried using a bt headset last night while playing, while the audio was fine and connected easily, i found my bt controller went laggy, playing FPS definitely had an impact when i want to move left just a little, it moved left a lot

playing diablo was not 'as bad' but i still noticed a difference...

If docked where is the switch located?

When my switch was close to my router, it was the router causing interference on the Bluetooth, gave it the social distance treatment and the issue went away.

my router is behind my TV and my switch is docked right on the other side of the tv adjacent to it.

thanks for the tip, maybe i'll move the switch to the other side of the tv stand to put a few feet apart. would be awesome if it helps as it's nice to have sound vs being on mute at night when the kids are asleep

Probably not worth buying the expansion pack if you wanted to play mostly OOT. Everyone complains about the input lag. Earthbound is on SNES so the basic online will work.

I guess I should finally try Earthbound considering the reputation it has

Switch Sports looks fantastic. My wife and I have been playing Wii Sports bowling for the past month, and have been wanting something more modern-looking. I really hope there's a cosmic bowling mode!

You guys should try some VR games if you ever want to make the investment.

There's tons on the Quest platform. I got a table tennis and a golf game, they're crazy and immersive.

So it's just the same Earthbound game but on Switch? Lol no one knows sell 25+ year old games quite like Nintendo.

If you guys like JRPGs, you should definitely play Dragon Quest XI. It's on the Switch as well as PC/XBOX with Game Pass.

I beat the main story recently and got the true ending. Probably best traditional JRPG I've played in a while.

Played the demo version and it's not too bad of a game, great for the casual gamer.

If you like Final Fantasy Tactics you should get Triangle Strategy.

Both FE and TS have multiple endings and worth multiple playthroughs. DQ is definitely fun and you can pre-program characters to fight a particular style, Ni No Kuni using the same auto battle style as well.

I don't know why but I noticed a week ago The Source was selling Switch games for dirt cheap. They might be getting out of the console gaming part of the business?
