You go to the bandit camp to take back a helmet for some queen.. You have to sneak around because the fight is practically impossible The big guys kill you in one hit no matter how much health you have, and take almost no damage. The room is locked down when they appear. Oh and you can't save the game in this section. It's like they purposefully made every bad decision possible in this section :fulloffuck: |
Oh, the Yiga hideout... I didn't really "sneak" around that area. I either distracted them with bananas and ran right by or if I felt like fighting, electric weapons will make them drop theirs. Grab their dropped weapon and they'll have nothing. The boss in the area is a joke tho. Having the stealth armor might help if you really want to sneak around. But really, drop bananas. They'll stop attacking and run towards the bananas. |
There is a quest in Hyrule forest where you have to follow korok to a shrine. Get spotted, and it's insta-fail. I hated that quest, but I managed to complete it after a few tries. |

If you got as far as getting to the room with all the bananas, it's just a matter dropping bananas to distract them. There are also contraptions you can shoot arrows at to drop bananas, look around. Took over an hour to successfully get to the boss, but the second time I had to do it for my son's account, it was a lot easier. |

Once you beat the boss do they not show up in the world any longer? I have a feeling mine was bugged because I kept kinda climbing outside of the area that the boss was in to regroup, I finally “beat” him or so I thought, but it never rewarded me anything and I think he just fell down the hole? I’ve been back since and even went through the whole banana thing again to see if he would re-appear but once I got back into the open area he never came back |
Prior to defeating the Yiga boss, only the skinny clan members with sickles show up. After defeating the boss, the bigger dudes with wind cleavers and the skinny guys with duplex bows start popping. I don't mind them, the wind cleavers do decent damage. Anyone bought the Zelda expansions? Just finished the game this weekend and was wondering if it's worth spending more money and time on this game. |
I'd say the Champion's Ballad is worth it. 12 more shrines, another divine beast and one hell of a boss fight. |

I tested the bananas by throwing some directly in front of a guard and he ignored it.. turns out they only notice bananas if they are moving around already. Just hope I can get through on the next try, or I may have to be done with the game :( |
I beat it boys 4Head Two things I learned is that they can't hear at all, so you don't have to sneak around. You can walk right behind them full speed. Also they don't look up at all. You can climb around them and glide right over top of them and they won't see you. After picking up those two things, I was able to cheese the whole thing, grabbed all the loot and beat it easily, using just one banana for the last guy (he actually caught me but I was able to get to the boss stage before they caught up to me). I hate stealth in games so much. It's never done well. |
Second blue furnace quest Get to main fire with provided torch Fight through, lighting torches along the way. Takes a long time because of all the backtracking Torch eventually loses durability (there's no warning for this). Start using wooden weapons dropped by enemies Weapons burn out, but eventually I make it to town. NPC who asked for blue fire doesn't actually give anything for it. Head to furnace from town with last weapon, starts raining Go back to town, stay overnight, have one 'weather segment' to make it. Halfway to furnace, weapon breaks Go back to town, chop down a tree, get a tree branch It's raining again Stay overnight again, this time get horse to get back faster Get to furnace, dismount from horse. When you dismount, you also put away your weapon/torch Go back to town, chop down another tree just in case, get another branch Get back on horse, go towards furnace. Losing patience. Went too fast, horse bucked me off. Weapon still out though. But when you mount a horse, it puts away the weapon. Go back to town, chop down another tree, get on horse. Rains again Stay overnight, get back on horse, test out dismounting. When you jump off with X instead of dismounting, the weapon stays out. This is what I'll do at the furnace Rain incoming, so had to hurry. Went too fast again, horse bucked me off. I'll walk the rest of the way and see if I can at least light the first torch near the furnace. Steps away from first torch near furnace, thunderstorm hits. Throw controller. I'm done. |
Lol I don’t remember having much trouble at all with that one simply by running with the torch? Also doesn’t the flame get weaker as it diminishes? You gotta put it away and then reequip in between the sconces you light I think |
I don't think many people will have the exact same situation as me in that quest... But to me it was just a frustrating combination of both the things that are HORRIBLE in this game (weather, weapon durability) happening at the same time for me. At the same time, I am sick today and just generally feeling shitty. Was hoping some Zelda would make me feel better, but no it just made me mad. Sorry for the rant, but it was just such a crazy set of circumstances I had to share. I'll probably play again tomorrow /shrug |
Weather can definitely get crazy frustrating depending on where you are and what you are doing |
do you guys play the switch docked, portable, or pretty evenly split? |
95% portable-use, for me. The TV is always streaming Netflix or similar. |

75% portable, stays out most of the time on my working days. Can only play it docked when the kids are asleep lol |
When you play most of the time on a decent TV, although the portable screen is pretty nice it’s a huge downgrade |
100% docked. It's technically my rommate's Switch so if it is ever out of the house, it's with her. I never play mobile anyway; I only really leave the house if I have to go do something. My TV has some nice video game frame smoothing features that really make the bad framerate more tolerable. Doesn't add much lag at all either |
So has anyone here played Pokemon? Is it just a remade Red/Blue/Gold? |
I primarily play with it while docked. I’ve taken it out when I go out |

same old pokemon yellow IMO...on sale at costco for 50 https://forums.redflagdeals.com/cost...49-97-2255991/ only an okay if you're a huge pokemon fan but it died out real fast later on. |
i'm docked about 75% the time it's too long to be comfortable for handheld, but for short bursts it's fine |
